Thank you Tie, this is very valuable information. I guess I've been wasting a ton of money by setting the global exposure to 50% on a large set of lineups. Oh well, live and learn. I look forward to your next article.

Since the article is not in the link currently, were you referring to global player exposure at 50% for each individual player so that you will never have any of these players end up in more than 50% of your lineups on a given slate?

I do the same thing as what I just wrote, but usually use 60%. Was there something in the article that made you change your mind about doing this? I spend a lot of time going through 200+ players and changing them from the default 100% to the 60% I want, one by one. It takes a loooong time! I really hate being in a hurry and not having time to set them to 60%, because then if I make 100 lineups, I might get the same player in all 100 lineups, which I never want...especially in a completely volatile sport like baseball where you can easily get 0 points on any given night from any player. Any input would be appreciated from anyone on this topic. Thank you.

This has been going on for quite some time. I use DK though. They have asked to us to email them when this happens instead of posting here. I just don't email because I'd be sending emails out almost daily and I don't have the time to invest. I'm not sure they have a permanent solution for this because I think they said they do this on a case by case basis. Looks like the issue might be here to stay.

The problem definitely needs to be addressed. I apologize for the display issue. I thought I found the issue, but I suppose that it did not fix the problem. This issue started happening when we moved up the collection of data to earlier in the day, for the next day, so we may just move it back to later in the night. Downside to that, you wont be able to look at the next days data until later..[/quote]

No need to apologize, but I appreciate it. I just thought I remembered someone saying they were fixing on a case by case basis only. Glad to hear you are trying to resolve it permanently. Keep up the great work! :)

Oh my goodness, do I see what I think I am seeing?!? I can now lock PLAYER X into 25% of my lineups if I want to? If I make 100 teams, PLAYER X will show up exactly 25 times?

Thanks, just applied manual fix. Just email in the future if you see this. I still need to get to the root of the problem, I have had my hands a little full lately.

Ok, sorry. I thought you guys wanted issues posted on here. I will email next time!

Same problem as a month or two back where it shows players having played in 25 (roughly) games in the same day. The Texas Rangers seem to all have this problem today. Look at Jurickson Profar games played on 09/07/16.

I see what you are saying, we can probably add that in no sweat. I think the reasoning behind not adding it previously, was because you were clicking on the name in a lineup card (which displays salary) and I see that becomes an issue when you are clicking on the player in the exposure list. I have added it to my list.

Awesome. Thank you!

This is cool. However, I've never understood why the site won't enable users to control player exposure better. Is there a reason? Would the site then be 2 good?

Let me rephrase that. I think I read on here once that their reasoning in refusing to implement this is because it could affect the lineups possibly in a negative way as far as from a scoring perspective. From my perspective, it could affect the lineups on any given night in a positive way too. I just wish I was the one who was allowed to decide if I want to use this feature or not, instead of the decision being made for me by FC. Also, when I remove a player from the player pool altogether and create 100 lineups after, that could alter all 100 lineups I make also, but at least I get to choose to do that if I want to. This is a feature countless people have asked for since I joined and I do not know why the stubbornness to not do it supersedes what the customers want. So, I guess we will just have to keep asking until they give in hehe :)

We all want this, so I don't understand either. Their reasoning is not reasoning that I agree with.

Not sure if this has been requested before, but when I am looking through my created lineups and click on a specific player, it would be great if I could see their current salary in the player pop-up box. All I can see is their salaries for all their previous games. I find myself having to close out the box, scroll up to top of the page, and then I have to type his name in the search box. I find myself doing this several times on a daily basis, so wondering if you can add his current salary to the player pop-up box. Plus, there appears to be plenty of blank space on the top blue border of the box to add that and any other things you might want to add (perhaps his batting average vs both lefties and righties on the season). Thank you.

This is a complicated issue, and the only REAL solution is for our data to be updated correctly. I am very hesitant to have the solution be, every man for himself in correcting incorrect data, that solution while on the surface seems ok, I think makes FC a worse product and isn't really solving the issue. I made a change to some of the code that pulls lineup info about 3-4 weeks ago that I hope has made a noticeable improvement. There was an issue today with the Cardinals lineup that was re-released, we 100% should have caught that(we have been catching lineup changes up until this one), I found a bug in the code that affected today that I have dealt with and will not cause any issues moving forward.

I really want this issue to be solved, and not just masked with allowing users to add a projection to a player and having them be displayed. I feel that if we added that feature, it would introduce another problem to a different set of users, who maybe don't understand why a guy is still in their playerpool who is not playing. Ultimately FC needs to be responsible for providing accurate data all the time, which is something that I am striving to do.

I thought the point of the "Player Manager" tab was to be able to add a player to the pool if FC does not have a certain player in the pool for whatever reason? I was told late last year that this is what I should do if someone is missing. This has happened many times to me in NBA player pools last season and I always just went in and added the player and set his projection to whatever I wanted. It almost always worked properly back then. Lately, when I attempt to add a player using the "Player Manager", it will not put him in my pool no matter what I do. A few weeks back, I spent almost 2 hours on a 14 game MLB slate making adjustments to all players and then afterwards noticed an important player was missing from the pool, after investing all that time. I tried desperately 8 times to add him and it would not let me. I logged out and then back in several times, refreshed my browser, cleared cache and cookies, and then as a last resort drove to my business (which is only less than 5 minutes away) to use a different computer and network. None of this worked. I wasted nearly two hours and did not feel comfortable entering my usual 50-200 lineups without having this player included in many of my lineups because he seemed like a very high-value play on that day, included in many of my lineups. I can tell you whenever this happens (it has happened several times to me), it is very frustrating to say the least. Often, time is running short and we need to be able to add a player on the fly and don't have enough time before lineup lock to wait for email responses from FC. I know you guys do your best to get back to people as quickly as you can, but getting everything done before lineup lock is essential.

My feelings on this are that I do not understand why I cannot add a player if I need to, like I used to be able to. We absolutely NEED to have this feature to even make FC usable on the days that this problem arises. I do not understand the logic behind not allowing this because it is critical! This is especially true when the data you get from your sources can sometimes be inaccurate. Please fix this like it used to be and let us add a player if we need to. I am begging you and I know many others are as well :)

Thanks.

Thank you for the clarification! I thought when you used the phrase "could have up to 25 stacks", that it meant it was going to be a random amount of stacks of specific team up to a maximum of whatever percentage we set it at. That's why I didn't understand how the new feature would be helpful. Also, thanks for the advice on the player lock-ins, I will start using it immediately. This new stacking feature is awesome now that I understand it. Keep up the great work!!

I was in love with this new feature until I read to the point where it states, "stack could be used up to 25 times". If I want to make 100 stacks at once with 25 Cubs, 25 Braves, and 50 Rockies, this feature will not help because it doesn't guarantee that any stack will even be used once, correct? Or am I reading this incorrectly? This feature could be phenomenal if it actually did what we wanted it to! It's the same concept as with individual players. I know many people have asked about being able to lock in a player for a certain percentage of lineups, but you guys don't like this idea for some reason and won't implement it for us. The thumbs up sometimes does not change a player's overall exposure, sometimes even clicking thumbs up to the maximum of 3 times makes no difference in the amount of times a player shows up in a fixed number of lineups that I generate. It can be frustrating when we want a certain player to be in SOME of our lineups, but not all of them (which locking in a player puts him in every single lineup). I think it would be easy to add this in the code and give us the feature that many of us want. We would love to see this option with players and stacks. It would make the FC experience so much better! I know I'm probably the 100th person to bring up the same point about player lock-ins, but I hope you will change your minds about it and I know many other people feel the same. Other than these two objections (which are important to me), I love FC! Thank you.

Just so you know also, sometimes when I have to add a player myself and give him a projection, he will not show up in my pool no matter what I do. I set his projection at 100 just so he appears at the top and he's not there. If I come back to the player manager area and look, he is included in the list of players on the right hand side of the page. I go back to the lineups area and he is nowhere to be found. All sliders and exposures are untouched, so that's not the problem. If he's listed in the player manager area with whatever I set him at 5, 10, 20, or 100 points, why does it not put him in the pool where I make lineups?

We're still having the same problem. Check Jonathan Schoop's stats yesterday (08/09). Also, I noticed quite a few on 08/08 still having the same issues.

No problem. Glad I could help.

If you click on Sandy Leon and some Brewers, it shows they played 15-20 times in one day and repeats their score for the day that many times. I noticed this the other day on MadBum. I think it's happening all over the board.

The player pool for pitchers today (at least on DK) looks to have every pitcher for every team in it. Any way you can remove the 100's of extra pitchers from the pool? Thanks.

We have added support for the CFL. I was hoping to get it out a day earlier, but there is still a 2 game slate tonight. We will get it a little more polished and will be supporting CFL going forward.

Excellent! Thanks!!

You have him listed as a $2,000 salary as a pitcher and also the stats don't show his last start on 06/15/16.

I can't see the DK Cubs/Pirates game either for the early slate on FC which makes FC not useable today for me :(

Draftkings and fanduel didn't get player data listed until sometime this morning around 7-8am PST. We put up the data shortly after that. You should be good to go now.

Oh ok, I didn't know the data wasn't up until this morning. We're all good to go now. Thanks!

hammer,
are you able to make a line-up on draftkings site itself?
all i get is a database error when trying to enter a lineup. (10am eastern)
when trying to set up a hockey league, it only allows me to make a reservation, not fill out a lineup and set up the league.
that's probably why fantasycruncher doesn't have anything yet, because the data from draftkings feed itself is still bad.

Yes, I made a few lineups within the last 1 1/2 hours. It let me input players and create full lineups. I didn't have the issues you are speaking of.

It's 10 am EST and all I can see are yesterday's games and players for DK NHL. Is something going on? I'm hoping this isn't typical as I generally make my lineups in the morning. Thanks.

Can FC just make it so you can upload the DK csv to FC, save your new FC created lineups on it via a "Save" button, and then we can just upload it back to DK without having to copy and paste stuff? No idea if this is possible, just throwing it out there.

Thanks for the help, but it didn't work. I tried desperately for 15 minutes until lineup lock and kept getting an error: "Incorrect player position header for sport". I only copy and pasted the players and nothing else, so I don't know what went wrong. There goes 100 more lineups down the drain :(

Can anyone help please? Thank you.

Just going through it right now and will try it tonight.

This will be a great help for multi entry. I am excited to marry my process with FC to this new method.

Can someone make a walk-through for using FC to edit the lineups? I have never attempted to mass-edit lineups in the past. I see the file that you download from DK is titled "DKEntries.csv" or DKEntries(1).csv and so forth. How do I get my FC lineups to export to the DKEntries.csv and replace the existing lineups on that particular csv? Any help would be much appreciated as I am not very computer savvy at all :(

Thank you!

Please send an e-mail to support and attach all the screenshots you can. That is a very odd occurrence and no one else reported anything like this. My feeling is that you may have used the sliders to filter out players, but you didn't actually filter them out. The sliders only change what's visible to you, it doesn't remove players from the pool in itself. If you are to use them as a filter, you need to "select none" then make only the players you do want visible, then "select all". Alternatively, you need to select all, then move the sliders so it only shows players you don't want, then "select none".

There's no way that Galloway and Acy were missing from the pool without someone reporting it. This is why I suspect that is what happened.

I have never used the sliders before. I'm wondering why even if the slider was accidentally bumped, why would it automatically lock those 2 players into every lineup? I will send the screenshots to support. Thank you.

I could really use help with this. I have screenshots if needed.

I see responses to other people's posts from FC, but I guess they have no interest in addressing this :(

I just created 60 lineups and had all my player exposures set with some players removed that I did not want. The tournament was almost full, so I created 60 lineups and quickly pushed them over to DK just to make it in the tournaments by the skin of my teeth. I went back to look at FC to see how my lineups ended up and I was blown away. I didn't care what the exact lineups were because I had set every single player to what I wanted and opted for complete randomness. FC had locked Quincy Acy and Langston Galloway into ALL 60 lineups! My heart just sunk. I knew I didn't have those players in my player pool, so I double checked. I used the player search box for "Acy" and "Galloway" and sure enough, they didn't even exist in the default player pool, my player pool, excluded players, or injured players. I deleted the 60 lineups on FC and tried it again. Same result.

I am extremely disappointed at this and do not know how this could ever happen. I took screenshots of all of this but I don't know how to attach them to a post because it is not really explained other than stating something about an alt attribute (whatever that means) and shows me this: [img=PunBB bbcode test]https://www.fantasycruncher.com/forum/img/test.png[/img] which I have no idea what to do with. It would be nice if there was a button to click that lets you select an image from your computer and then you just click "done" and it uploads it. That would be great for all of us people that are not computer programmers.

Almost certainly, I just threw several hundred dollars down the drain.

Any reason why this won't be addressed again?

I will work with Jeff and get the next day slate rolled over sooner. We have the data, but the projections may not be completely updated until later. I will see how early we can start rolling over to the next day.

That would be great. At least we can set all the player exposures and whittle down the player pool by getting rid of the scrubs and also the injured players who are definitely out. Then the next day we might just have to make minor tweaks. Thank you.

Any chance the next day's NBA player pool could be available before midnight each day? For those of us with day jobs and family, it is tough to make updates during the day so I'd like to be able to set my projections the night before (way before midnight). Generally, atleast on DK, the next day's players and salaries are posted very early the day before so I would think this is possible.

Amen to this. Pretty difficult to start from scratch during work in the morning and still be productive. I was actually going to request this tonight as well.

I brought this up months ago and I really hope this will get addressed as I'm sure it is affecting everyone who uses FC. I play NBA, NFL and NHL. Some of these issues might be particular to a certain sport, but I tend to find these across all sports I play.

1) Why are there players on IR in my player pool every day? NHL Jeremy Welsh hasn't played since November. And why is he getting assigned a value of .10? There's a bunch of players projected to have 0 points yet are assigned a value of .20. I don't understand it. Would be nice if this was cleaned up so I have less to deal with each day.

2) Whereas guys on IR are staying in my player pool everyday, other guys that are last minute scratches or are out injured for the evening are often not even listed in the player pool. For example, I have a player pool of 150 players and I do all of my exposures and thumbs up/down to prepare for later when I want to create the lineups. An hour later I click refresh on my browser and my player pool is now down to 148. What happened? Where did two of my players go? How do I even know what two players they were? How can I make adjustments with no knowledge of what happened?

3) Breaking news - No icon to show there are player notes. Sometimes I see you recently put in a note stating a player is going to be out when the game starts in 15 minutes, but it's just because of dumb luck that I happened to click on him to see this note. Why can't there be a little picture of a note like other sites? Then when there is recent or breaking news you just highlight the little note icon so that we know. Sometimes you remove a player altogether from the pool when injured and sometimes you leave him in the player pool with a note that none of us know is there, so it's impossible to rely on.

4) Injury status - "Probable", "Questionable", "Doubtful", and "Out" next to each player's name would be appreciated. Create a separate tab that lists the players who are "out" instead of just erasing them from the player pool without us having any clue as to who or why players are suddenly missing. This would also take care of the guys on IR as they would be under this tab as well. When a player goes from probable, questionable or doubtful to now "out", my example player pool from earlier in this post would still go from 150 players to 148 players, but those two missing players would now be under the "Out" tab and have a highlighted player note so I can easily see what happened instead of panicking, scrambling, searching other sites and not being able to make adjustments in time, which in turn costs me money (yes, this has happened many times to me on FC).

I like FC, but I really need/want/expect/deserve to see these issues addressed to help maximize my opportunities to win. After all, that's why I pay the monthly fee. Although I do see minor updates and improvements here and there, most of them are trivial compared to these player issues that are HUGE. Please help!! We need your help to give us the best chance to win!! Thank you.

Since there are server issues again, I cannot edit my last post. Server error 500. Anyways, what I was going to say was yes, it takes over an hour to do 250 lineups. Then if you you don't like the 250 lineups and want to do thumbs up/down, change exposure, etc and redo it? Another hour plus. That's what I mean by FC is almost unusable.

It is not just you, it is a serious problem to others as well. Even with only 75-100 lineups, the more and more lineups it creates, it keeps getting slower and slower. There's literally more than 10 secs between each lineup creation. It happens on my desktop at home and my desktop at work, so I know it's not just my computer. FC is almost unusable to me anymore.

It is now January 29th and I have no idea how to use Draftkings with Fantasy Cruncher. I was assuming you would send out an email to all of your customers to inform them of how to use FC with DK, but I didn't receive any emails. Do we just cancel our accounts because FC won't work or is there a way? If there is, I would need step by step instructions on how to do it. I am not familiar with how these "CSV's" work that people speak of. Please inform us. Thank you.
