Obviously tiers is not as complex as DK classic, but could you add late swap for DK Tiers -- to keep my rules and overall exposures in line? Also, are there plans for late swap for FD on the sports that allow it? It might make the all day slates playable with MME if so.

Ability to make a group by uploading a list of player names would be helpful.

This is just me being lazy, but when I do stacks for certain teams, I'd like to see the total % that I have allocated in the settings. For example, if I have 5 teams selected, each at 25%, then I'd like to see 125% shown on the screen.

I usually do this in a spreadsheet beforehand, but I think I miss teams sometimes. or make typos.

When this site had outage before lock the other day, I had to use another site. The other site is way worse (obviously), but they had this and I thought it was helpful.

Thanks for considering.

I have an update coming out very soon (this week I believe) that will address the MLB stacking on FC. Its not exactly what you are requesting, but I think it will suffice and you will be able to use it to produce the results you are after.

Either I missed this update. Or else it didn't happen. If it didn't happen, is it still being worked on?

Thanks.

Awesome. Thanks.

Most days I'll go through and select the teams I want to stack and then set exposures for each team. Then I want my 2nd team stack to have the same settings (or close too it). It'd be a useful time saver if there were a button that would just duplicate the stack X team settings as the stack Y team settings.

Please consider this in a future enhancement. Thanks.

Not sure why, but I was just thinking about this again. Wouldn't it make more sense to color the player results according to scale normalized -- either for the slate or season? And then coloring the projection green if it was a decent projection or red if was way off? When I look at the player's history, I want to see if they doing well in a objective frame of reference, not vs a particular projection.

Yeah.... I'm a weirdo, but it drives me nuts to see guy with a crappy game colored green just because he beat the site's projections. It was still a bad game.

Obviously, this should be a super low priority request, but can you consider "fixing" this someday?

We're working on something like this.

Awesome. Thanks.

Put Curry and Durant in a group. Set the rule: at MOST 1 of these players.

That's what I do. Just takes time to add the same groups everyday on multiple sites.

+1 I have groups that I use teams, but I have to enter them each day and for multiple sites. It's probably a bit of work, but would be nice not be able to store these settings associated with my log in so that I don't repeat task over and over.

I am glad that at least they stick for the day when I bounce around.

So, are you trying to stack QB with at least 2 WR/TE from same team? Or is it something different?

I think he's asking the same thing I asked a while ago. See post #9 https://www.fantasycruncher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=6592#p6592

The ways around this are pretty cumbersome. 1. Make groups to phase out certain combinations. or 2. Set all teams to max of 1 player except stacked team, run, then change stacked team, run some more, change team, repeat etc.

Posted Topic: Color Coding

1

Can you explain the color coding for a player's historical results? They don't seem to make much sense. For example, I'm looking at JJ Nelson on DK. His historical scores are 5, 1, 3.9, 27.9, 11.8, 5.9, 0, 3.4, 2.1. For some reason, you have 5, 1, and 3.9 as Red whereas 2.1, 3.4, and 5.9 are green. I think everything should be red except the 27.9 and it throws me off for a few seconds.

Whatever the logic is, can you consider changing it? Thanks.

Remaining WRs/TEs cannot be from same team unless they are on same team as the qb.

Let's just say it's fanduel. We have 3 WR slots and 1 TE. Once the QB is selected, I want at least 1 WR or TE from the same team as my QB. Then for the remaining WR/TE slots, I want them from different teams.

examples to allow:
Team A QB + Team A WR + Team B WR + Team C WR + Team D TE
Team A QB + Team A WR + Team A WR + Team B WR + Team C TE
Team A QB + Team A WR + Team B WR + Team C WR + Team A TE
Team A QB + Team B WR + Team C WR + Team D WR + Team A TE
Team A QB + Team A WR + Team A WR + Team B WR + Team A TE

examples to NOT allow:
Team A QB + Team A WR + Team B WR + Team B WR + Team C TE
Team A QB + Team A WR + Team B WR + Team C WR + Team B TE
Team A QB + Team B WR + Team B WR + Team C WR + Team A TE, etc.

I know that I can get these various combos, but I think I have to do it in multiple runs. Is this correct? Or is there a way to set the options that will get this in a single run?

He's F'd again. The NO WR should be $5200.

"Mike Thomas" of the Rams is $4500.

What if I want QB stacked with either a) WR, b) TE, c) 2 WRs, or d) WR and TE from the same team --- but I never want any of a) 2 WRs or b) WR & TE from a team other than my QB?

Unless I'm mistaken, it's not possible to a group of stacking rules that will get this in 1 run, correct?

If you do this, please also consider some way to be able to upload player exposure settings. That'd be a huge benefit to me.

Is there a Matt Duffy:TB now?

I like the speed improvement from the pagination, but one drawback is that I have to switch it over to "ALL" before I do some global changes. Examples of global changes that are only effecting the current page: 1) selecting all, my projections, or none and 2) changing exposure levels for all visible from within the advanced settings.

Is it possible/reasonable for the global changes to apply to all 'pages' without me changing to "ALL"?

Thanks.

Also, thanks for fixing the sort. Even though I double click out of habit now, I'm sure I'll adapt soon enough. haha.

Tried this. Pretty time consuming especially around lock.

An option for consecutive or one gap stacking would be a great addition.
Consecutive = 1,2,3,4 or 3,4,5,6
One game = 1,3,4,5 or 4,5,7,8

This is a great option. Another site just added this feature where you can choose the max gap between batters in your stack. Would love to see similar option added. Currently, I manually kill off my mini stacks with big gaps.

Any update on this? Trea Turner leading off today as a replacement for Rendon and is not available.

Posted Topic: Show all Players

How do I show all players?

For example, today, Blanco scratches and Belt gets inserted into lineup. But Belt is now not available.... I added my projection for him in the player manager, but he's still hidden.

Thanks. Also, the exposure settings seem to be hit or miss. Sometimes they stay. Sometimes they go back to 100%. I haven't noticed a rhyme or reason. Ideally, I'd love to be able to import exposure settings when I import my projections, but just getting them to stick would be an improvement.

save player pool does some of this.... saves my selections and exposures. So, I just need it to save the rest of my 'advanced settings'

Posted Topic: Make Settings Stay

1

As lineups are released, I go to player manager and add my calculations. Then when I go back to lineup cruncher, I have to reset my player exposures, stacks, etc every time. Is there some way to make these settings stay? I literally go through the same process 20+ times each day.

Batter prices are also different in early vs late slate, so tool is basically worthless for early slate.

missing on DK.

Now players are disappearing from pool as I refresh... lol.
I hope that means someone is working on it.

Just want to say how amazing the latest updates are.

Hopefully, you have something similar for NFL. I'd love to be able to list out my QB-WR stacks and have it generate them all instead of last year's process (lock 'em, run it, export, unlock, lock different ones, run it, export, unlock... x20).

Basically just don't want lineups with pitchers facing each other. Usually, I'll just have 1 in my pool, but sometimes I might like both -- just not in same lineup.

Thanks.

oh... I can't read. I thought he was asking about from DK.

There is an "export" button under each lineup. Use this to export the lineup to other lineup/entries.

There is an "edit lineup" button along top. Use that if you want to export a csv that you can edit and re-upload.

Saw this on some other site. Don't recall which, but basically, if a player is missing from the pool, have some form that I can load him for my own projections. Require me enter Name, Team, Position(s), Salary, Projection. Doesn't matter if player actually exists.

Obviously this wouldn't work for csv uploads, but you could just put the inputted players name into the csv and then we could over write it manually.

Just saves some from panic when in a time crunch.

There's also a Matt Duffy for HOU now. .... not that you should use him.

Suggestion, pick another guy with same salary that you don't want to use. Then global swap him on FD after loading from the csv.

probably still testing. banner still says "season over" and it's showing lineups confirmed, which isn't true afaik.

With the new edit feature, things should be much more easy. Just enter 1 dummy lineup. Then upload your new lineups near game time. (or enter 50 and over-write later when something changes.).

Agree on the work and the request. I had similar request that'll re-mention because it's so good :). https://www.fantasycruncher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1320

Right now, we can generate lineups by various options (my projection, fc projection, actual results etc), but it's hard to see the results by those options. They way I'd like to use the tool -- and I think they way that is most useful to serious users -- is to create lineups using my projections and options and then to see the distribution of actual results. This would help me to experiment with different strategies and hopefully be able to generate better lineups on future days. It's currently not fruitful for me to look at 100 lineups to find which one had the top actual score or count how many would have cashed. I use the tool some, but a few minor (?) tweaks would greatly improve it for me.

Thanks.

it's amazing how much more confused people have gotten in 24 hours after reading the new rules.
it looks like you could stack everyone at coors and that's it.
no other games on the schedule needed.
of course both pitchers would get crushed, but you may get 18 runs from your hitters.

That's not a valid roster. Rosters will consist of 10 players and must include players scheduled to play in at least 2 different MLB games.

Makes sense. I don't generally lock that many guys, but I might have min players per team.

generating lots of lineups without a flex on DK for me

If I get it again, I will save it and send it. Thanks.

I'm getting SGs in my flex even though I have the setting excluded

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but here's some R code to get it yourself from rotoguru. http://www.r-fiddle.org/#/fiddle?id=KLN5SGsz

The ability to export from the lineup rewind to csv with projected and actual scores would be useful to me so that I can check some different strategies over different days and see the distribution of my theoretical results.

Or -- if you are really feeling ambitious -- it'd be cool if you can build in something that shows the distribution for a given run..

Just stopped into the forum to request the same thing.

For NBA, I'm now calculating what I want my exposure to be, but it's rare that I get to use since I'm always making last minute adjustments due to news. I think this would be a nice feature.

Thanks.

To add to this.... For each 'crunch', I'd like to see a save all to 'my lineups'. and then an export to csv from 'my lineups'. You could then do the total exposure calculation from the 'my lineups'. Ideally, also have them grouped on the 'my lineups' page according to their crunch -- so that I can easily delete them if there is new news that comes out.

Thanks. That day, I was excluding SG from my flex. Wound up refreshing and was able to get lineups in. Haven't had any issue last few days.

Maybe not ideal, but you could do 2 smaller runs -- once without the PF in your pool and once without the C.

actually, the issue is that most lineups don't have a flex position generated

I get 85% error... New lineup contains invalid roster positions or players are not in the correct position.

I checked to make sure it's the right slate.

Posted Topic: Sport/Site

1

This is kind of a stupid request, but would you consider splitting up the "Sport/Site" and giving them their own selection path?

It's just an extra click that I find annoying some days when going from DK to FD within the same sport on the same day.

Thanks. Works great.

In the advanced settings, you can change all players to x% max exposure.

I often want all DEF at x%, all RB at y%, all WR at z% etc. There's not any way of doing this other than 1 by 1.

Can you add an option so that I can change all the exposures for any filtered set at once?

Had this happen a few times......

My settings:
1. Locked Fitzpatrick and Decker (doesn't matter who... just an example)
2. Max of 1 player per team except for NYJ = 2.
3. All players with a max exposure. ... say 50% applied as group.
4. 6 Unique players per lineup. (doesn't actually mattter, same issue with 4, 5, or 6).
5. Running 12 lineups.

Result is that lineup #1 and #2 are the same except for different defenses and a different WR in the flex. In other words, there's only 2 unique players in the lineup rather than the 6 I requested.

Increase the # of unique players per lineup and you'll achieve the same result. And/or adjust the play exposure limits.
Once you play around with them, I think you'll find that these existing features are better than what you are requesting. (Maybe I'm wrong, just imo).

Posted Topic: DK NBA Flex

1

For DK NFL there's an option to force the FLEX position to be WR, TE, or RB. I wouldn't mind a similar option for NBA. Or maybe just some restrictions by position (similar to the way team restrictions are set up).

For example, last night I only liked 3 SFs. I wanted all my lineups to have exactly 1 SF in the SF slot and none in the F or FLEX slots. In order to get it to work the way I wanted, I had to only have 1 SF in my pool and do various runs. Otherwise my lineups might have 1, 2, or 3 SFs.

(Alternatively, I guess I could have just given them super low projections.... )

Set player's expected points equal to their salary. Or salary divided by 100. Or similar. Then be sure to increase the # of unique players per lineup.
I do stuff like this all the time.

Getting random error where it's not doing a flex position. Instead it will have 2 Gs and won't export. Happens on 5-15% of lineups I generate.

Here's my dilemma. There's a lot of NBA news that can break after 6 pm that will effect my lineups. But some of the bigger FD GPPs tend to fill an hour or 2 before lock. Any suggestions on getting spots reserved, calculating my 100-250 lineups, and getting them imported over top of the dummy lineup that's already registered?

Currently, I just pray the GPP doesn't fill until after 6:30ish. But seems like I'm generally stuck with GPP XYZ #2 with a smaller prize pool.

On another note, and sorry if I'm going feature crazy here, but is there any way to unselect all players from player pool at once. Right now to create a player pool of 25-30 players I have to manually deselect each player that I don't want in the pool and it takes forever in NFL specifically. Would be easier to deselect all and the select only the 25-30 I want... If that makes sense.

Under "Select Players" there is a button that says "None". Click that.

sorry this is probably dumb. I'm more of an NBA guy so why can't 2 opposing RB each have good games?

It makes sense in theory to not play opposing RBs but opposing RBs do perform well against each other (week 3 randle vs freeman), so it might not be something I want to use because I play a small number of lineups, but if you're building a lot of lineups automatically, you won't be able to analyze every lineup so you set up constraints that will work most of the time.[/quote]

Exactly. And we all know that Randle was a fluke anyway ;)

While were at it, add option to exclude negative correlations. In particular, should exclude 1) RB-WR/TE from same team, and 2) RB and opposing RB in same game.

Selected games also being reset, so I have to re-exclude the Thursday game each time.

My selections (player pool, likes, etc) are getting reset when I go back and forth to the player manager. Only thing that being saved is my projections

Posted Topic: Lock and Exposure

1

I think it would make sense for the lock setting to override the exposure setting and force it to be 100%. Otherwise, you can get lineups without the locked players.

Would it be possible to just dump all the lineups into some freeroll?

When it comes to spending $, I prefer to manually select what I enter them into.

Tried to export 15 lineups. Instead it exported the 1st one and entered it 15 times.

Can do 1 by 1, so still better than typing.

You should definitely be looking at targets, but I'm not sure if this is in FC's plans. If you are just looking for the info, you can get it at http://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/reports/targets/wr.php (among other sites).

Good Luck.

Posted Topic: NFL Lineup Options

1

Random thoughts/requests based on my week 1 usage.

#1 I'd like more detail for than just exclude Player vs opposing DEF. Something by positions, for example:
QB-WR from same team: Allow, Require, Prohibit
QB-RB from same team: Allow, Require, Prohibit
QB-TE from same team: Allow, Require, Prohibit
WR-WR from same team: Allow, Require, Prohibit
WR-RB from same team: Allow, Require, Prohibit
RB-DEF from same team: Allow, Require, Prohibit
etc.
Wound up doing well over 100 generations and manually picking lineups that fit my criteria. Could reduce this greatly with more options.

#2 option to save my player pool and be able to open that saved pool. The issue I have is that I have a pool but then doing certain types of lineups, I'll exclude a player. Then I might forget to add them back in for next run.

#3 Ability to load multiple projections, e.g., "My Cash Projection", "My GPP Projection", "Site XYZ", etc.

#4 option to download .csv of lineups.

#5 More functionality to "My Lineups". Would love to save all lineups there and have ability to see player distributions of the saved lineups and be able to export to DK from this page (rather than after each run).

Replied To: Player minimum

1

Alternative would be to run it once. If someone is under the min, then increase their projection either manually or with the thumbs up. Re-run and repeat until everyone is above min. Could also increase # of unique players per lineup. That will tend to flatten the distribution.

Just want to bump this in light of some recent site enhancements.

Similar to the "Like" feature, I'd encourage a setting where the lineup score increases or decreases based upon players in the lineup depending upon if they are on the same team or opposing team in a game.

In baseball, it can be as simple as whether or not batter on same team then +X%. Further enhancement would be if the user could give bigger weight for players batting near each other in lineup.

For football, one would probably want a matrix for each position cross referenced with other positions. I'd also like to be able to control the percentage weight. e.g., QB-WR = 8%. QB-TE=5%. QB-DEF = -3%. (or whatever).

..... Just something to consider. (Unless, I'm the only one that thinks this is a good idea... haha)

I exclude everyone, then check the guys I want.

Fixed. Thanks. (and sorry for posting it in wrong forum. Hadn't had my espresso yet.)

Also missing Kris Medlen. Starting for KC. Listed as RP on DK for $5200.

Thanks.

ARRRGH!!! me too !!

Thanks. Mostly desktop.
I appreciate the update.

nevermind... working now.. not sure what the issue was.

Lineup generator is refusing to put him in at SS.

Uncheck all other SS and it says I need at least one.

Posted Topic: Game Filter

1

Minor annoyance, but maybe consider putting the game filter in a permanent spot on the left with some check boxes (similar to bbm) instead of the hover over drop down. I often lose focus and wind up check/unchecking a player.

Also, there needs to be way of saving these settings instead of having them reset if I go back and forth to the player manager.

Automatically deselecting any game that's already started would be nice too.

Just something to consider.....

Right now the lineups are built off of taking individual player projections and then meshing them together. The lineup score is projected as the sum of individual player projections. I'd like to take this one step further and adjust a lineup's ceiling/floor score based upon the other players in the line up. For example, for a GPP, you usually want to avoid the batters and opposing SP in the same lineup, since their scores are negatively correlated. Similarly, a QB and WR on same team are positively correlated -- as are players batting on same team.

Giving users the ability to input their own correlation adjustments like this would be ideal. FC could establish defaults.

I think a lot of us already do this anyway, but it might make lineup construction faster and better.

Thanks.

That's embarrassing.... As much as I use the site, I don't know how I've missed that.

Thanks!

For baseball, there's so many players. I like to exclude everyone and then just check a few for each position. Is there an easier way to accomplish this than for me to uncheck every player one by one?

Sometimes I'll generate 100 lineups. Is it possible to export these lineups so that I can filter/sort/analyze them?

Another request is to have an option to require generated lineups to have x # of players from a team, where x is an inputted option. Or to require certain stacked combinations, say QB & WR from same team.
