Absolutely. That helps me a lot. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

I couldn't find an explanation for what I'm about to ask, but if it's been covered, just link me to it and I'll move on.

I'm still having difficulty in understanding the DvP values. I've noticed that two players from the same team, and same position, may have entirely different values in the DvP column. Generally, I would have thought that number would be exactly the same, but sometimes it's significantly different. Is the DvP value taking into consideration the statistics of each player individually? As opposed to just saying team "x" ranks 29th against the PG position?

I'd like to understand this better, as I use DvP many times to make my decisions when all other factors are relatively equal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't see anything on Dirk until after 7:30 EST. It was too late for me to do anything about it at that point anyway. If I'd had a late night lineup I would have had time. Luckily he was in my worst lineup anyway.

This is a really great post! Thank you! I just hope everyone knows how much sweat and effort goes into this. I started this months ago because it was something I wanted for myself as I found it incredibly frustrating trying to build lineups that fit under the salary cap and where I liked everyone in the lineup. This has grown and grown since then and I intend to keep up the work going forward because I see the potential to make this even more useful.

I want to personally thank you, I have applied a lifetime discount to your account for as long as you are a member. This will change your subscription amount to $8.95. I have also added a free month to your trial period.

I sincerely thank you.

Hey Dave,

I had to renew at the $12.95 rate this morning. It's not a big deal at all, just an FYI that the discount & free month didn't take effect.

I've always thought the codes were used in relation to the players projected points, compared to what he actually produced.

Absolutely. That update caught me totally off guard. I reworked those lineups quick, and MAYBE beat the lock by 30 seconds. Fantastic work by these guys.

I sincerely appreciate that David. These tools are invaluable to me now that I've gotten used to them, and in no way could I see myself working on lineups without them. One day of trying taught me that. Thanks again, and I'll be here putting these tools to good use.

Toronto isn't playing today.

I have to say I'm glad that these guys are going premium with their content. It's obviously a lot of work, and I think it's a good decision for the long-term health of the site. In saying that, I will not be subscribing to the premium content. I've gotten plenty of enjoyment from the site over the last month or so, but I'm a very small fish in the DFS world. Although I do play every day if I can, I don't typically wager more than $3 - $5 per night. It's funny really. I joined FanDuel 3 months ago with $25, played almost every night since, and I'm still sitting here with $24. That's a lot of bang for the buck, and has been a lot of fun for me.

I don't play enough, or win enough to cover $13 per month for the premium service. Haha. And let me say this, I ABSOLUTELY believe it's worth every single cent. I wish all of you guys the best of luck, and I still plan on lurking around the forums from time to time.

***Edit***
After spending yesterday trying to get my lineups without these tools, I elected to go premium. I've just gotten used to using the tools here, and even though I don't play much, it's still worth it to me. It's just not worth the hassle of trying to formulate a new way of constructing my lineups.

I am disappointed that you put Donald sloan in the proj lineup. now I see that this guy don't play anymore. why is he in your "best " lineups. now I have 5 lineups with a dude who will get me prob 0 points.

Man, I really hate that happened to you. I'm sure one of the guys will chime in about it. Sloan didn't show up in any of my projected lineups today. I normally do 3-10 and go from there, but he wasn't in any of them. Even if he had been on there, I still would have locked him out. I read 4 or 5 days ago where he would not be in the Pacers rotation. I hope everything works out for you anyway.

I love what you guys are doing. I think it's fantastic you are sharing your hard work with others. I've been using the tools for a little over 2 weeks now, and I've been very impressed. I am curious about something though. The tool updates what seems like 2 or 3 times per day. I've been waiting to set my lineup much later in the day when possible. There have been times when I set the lineup early in the morning, check it again that evening and get entirely different results. I'm going to assume that waiting until later in the day to finalize my lineup is the best way to go? Or not?

Thanks. NBA DFS is extremely dependent on news. So I try to update the projections when something big happens. I personally don't start building lineups until 1hr before the lineups lock.[/quote]

Good info to have. I've been waiting later, so I'll likely do the same. Thanks for the info!
