Favorite Plays

Kayla McBride

McBride has not played well as of late with only one game over 15 fantasy points in her past three games but I am not worried about her recent form tonight for a couple of reasons. The first reason is due to the fact the minutes have been there for McBride. McBride has played at least 32 minutes in seven of her past nine games. The second reason I am not worried about McBride is due to her match-up against the Mercury. This season Phoenix has allowed the third-most overall points per game, the most points per game to guards, and the most fantasy points per game to guards.

Allisha Gray

Gray has been pretty consistent this season with at least 2o fantasy points in all but three of her 16 games this season but that is not what stands out for me tonight with her. What stands out for me with Gray is her last game. In that game, Gray had a usage rate of 29.1% and went for 20/12/6 with three steals on her way to 49.4 fantasy points. While asking for 49 fantasy points is an awful lot to expect from Gray tonight the potential for a repeat performance is there as she takes on the Dream. The Dream has allowed the third-most points per game to guards this season and also ranks in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points allowed per game to them.

Shakira Austin

Elena Delle Donne is out for the Mystics tonight and that makes Austin a strong play for me. In the six previous games that EDD either missed or played very limited minutes, Austin averaged 24.68 fantasy points. Austin has not only played well with EDD out but the Sparks are a great match-up for Austin. This season the Sparks have allowed the second-most points per game and have the third-worst team rebounding rate in the WNBA.
