Tonight should be an interesting night as what we thought we knew about the team’s rotations is going to be thrown out the window. Almost every team is expected to get key pieces back from Europe or injury tonight. The question is how much do these players play and whose minutes do they take away? It is truly a guessing game sort of how like the first games of the season were. I recommend watching Twitter and the respective beat writers for each team closely tonight. I will also do my best to update projections and minutes as news breaks but depending on what time the news breaks it might not be possible. Regardless you can expect a big projection update around 4 PM EST today.
Wallace is one of the few cheap players that I love tonight and don’t have a question on. I don’t have a question about Wallace who missed the first two seasons of her WNBA career based on the way she has played through the first two games. Wallace has started and played at least 21 minutes in both of those games. Wallace is averaging eight points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in those games while producing at least 15 fantasy points in both games.
Satou Sabally Sabally is expected to join the Wings after missing the first game of the season. While that does make Sabally a little bit of a risky play tonight as we don’t know how many minutes she is going to play or frankly if she is even going to play as of this writing she is a risk I am willing to take as if she plays she should put up numbers. The former number two pick in the draft has averaged 12.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals+blocks in her 30 career games.
Sabally will not be joining the Wings for tonight’s game.
Elena Delle Donne
For me when healthy Delle Donne is the best player in the WNBA and Delle Donne looks healthy. In her two games this season, Delle Donne is averaging 20 points, eight rebounds, 2.5 assists, and two blocks. Delle Donne has at least 36 fantasy points in each of those games. The Wings despite looking good in their first game on defense are also not a team that I think can slow Delle Donne down as last season they were middle of the pack in terms of points allowed per game and fantasy points allowed to forwards.
