The NBA Rundown – FanDuel & DraftKings NBA DFS Picks – November 20, 2021 (11/20/21)

Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news frequently changes the slate.

Point Guard

LaMelo Ball ($10,400 DK, $8,700 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
LaMelo Ball CHA 15 9 6 32.6 18.5 86.7 12.1 12.9

The Hawks travel to Charlotte tonight to take on the Hornets in a game that looks very appealing on paper. The Hornets rank 25th in defensive rating, and the Hawks are currently 27th. Home teams generally dictate the pace of the game, and the Hornets are ranked 3rd in pace. LaMelo’s Draftkings price is getting a little out of hand, but there’s still enough upside to keep me interested in this game environment. On Fanduel, LaMelo is the best play at the PG position.

Patrick Beverley ($4,700 DK, $4,800 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Patrick Beverley MIN 13 5 8 27.2 8.3 55.8 7.5 9.2

Tonight’s matchup against the 30th ranked defense is looking pretty appealing for the Timberwolves. Whatever defensive juice Patrick Beverley has left will be needed tonight to try and slow down a surging Ja Morant. Beverley’s role has been secure on this team, averaging 32 minutes over his last three games and stuffing the stat sheet in all categories.

Shooting Guard

Donovan Mitchell ($8,700 DK, $8,300 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Donovan Mitchell UTA 14 9 5 31.9 24.3 67.4 7.3 9.4

Mitchell has had two disappointing fantasy games in a row due to blowout victories, but we can’t be in the business of projecting blowouts. In his last matchup with the Kings, Mitchell scored 36 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and took 30 shots.

Josh Hart ($5,100 DK, $5,400 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Josh Hart NOP 12 1 11 29.5 11.4 49.6 11.8 7.2

“Hart has been a steady force for the Pelicans lately; over his last four games, he’s averaging 12.25 points, 7.25 rebounds, 6.25 assists, 1.25 stocks across 36.75 minutes per game.” This is what I wrote yesterday about Josh Hart, and his Draftkings price decreased $400. Run it back with Hart.

Small Forward

Gordon Hayward ($7,000 DK, $6,300 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Gordon Hayward CHA 15 9 6 34.7 17.1 57.3 9.3 6.8

For the same reasons mentioned above, tonight’s ATL@CHA matchup is an appealing game environment, and we should see multiple players outperform their salary expectations. Like LaMelo, Hayward is a better play on Fanduel, but I think Hayward has ceiling game potential in this spot.

Kyle Anderson ($4,600 DK, $5,300 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Kyle Anderson MEM 15 8 7 22.1 8.7 35.5 7.1 4.1

Dillon Brooks is currently doubtful to play with a hamstring injury, and De’Anthony Melton is out tonight; Slomo’s biggest problem is playing time and projecting him to get around 25-28 minutes tonight; I like his chances to exceed value. In 502 minutes with Brooks & Melton off the floor, Anderson has averaged 1.02 DK PPM.

Power Forward

John Collins ($7,000 DK, $7,100 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
John Collins ATL 16 7 9 31.8 17.1 55.4 14.9 2.8

Yet another mention from this ATL@CHA matchup. Collins is averaging 1.07 DK PPM this season, and this game environment should favor his skillset. The Hornets rank 29th in the league at fantasy points allowed to the PF position.

Center

Rudy Gobert ($7,900 DK, $8,300 FD)

PLAYER TEAM GP W L MIN PTS TOUCHES REB CHANCES POTENTIAL AST
Rudy Gobert UTA 15 10 5 30.8 14.9 35 23.7 1.8

The Kings are currently ranked 24th in Defensive Rating and 8th in pace. As mentioned above, we have to assume this game stays competitive, and for our purposes, the Jazz players look rather appealing. In his last matchup against the Kings, Rudy managed 12 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, and accumulated five stocks.
