MLB DFS: Daily Home Run Picks for FanDuel & DraftKings on September 13, 2021.
Every day this season, our team shares who we believe has the best chance to leave the yard. From one-off plays to core parts of daily stacks, we hope this fun article will help you build winning lineups along the way.
James: Xander Bogaerts – “Logan Gilbert has allowed a home run in five of his last six starts and seven over that span. Of the 14 he has allowed, 10 have come to righties in a pretty equal split of plate appearances between lefty/righty. With righties having a slugging advantage here and a slate with some decent arms, I think drawing from the Red Sox pool is one of our higher upside teams to target.”
Zach: Alex Bregman – “Bregman has been hitting the ball extremely well since his return from the IL. Bregman has hits in 12 of his 14 games and is slashing .380/.439/.560. Bregman has had four extra-base hits in his past four games including two home runs. Tonight I like him to continue his hot streak against Spencer Howard. Howard does have an HR/9 rate under one this season but is also allowing right-handed hitters to slash .292/.384/.486 with a .372 wOBA.”
Jared: Mookie Betts – “I was tempted to continue riding the Jays’ hot offense here, but they almost always struggle against the Rays, so I’ll leave that one alone. Instead, let’s talk about a Dodger who is really hitting his stride these days. Mookie has homered in back to back outings for LA, and faces a RHP in Zac Gallen who has really had a hard time with RHBs this season. Specifically, a 2.3 HR/9 in the split with a .451 SLG and 80% of his allowed HRs coming against righties. He’s been their best hitter over the last week, with a .405 wOBA in 27 PA (50% hard contact rate) and is someone I’m happy to invest in while the going is good.”
