CFL DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for Week 6 – DraftKings
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our CFL Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for DraftKings to help navigate this week’s slate!
QB- Michael Reilly $8,900
I really feel like DraftKings dropped the ball when it came to the pricing on Reilly this week. Reilly in my opinion should be closer to $10,000 in salary and one of the two or three most expensive quarterbacks on this slate instead of the seventh-most expensive quarterback on this slate. I feel this way for a couple of reasons starting with the way Reilly has been playing. Reilly has thrown for over 300 yards in two of his four games this season and has a rushing score in three straight games. In the two games that Reilly threw for over 300 yards, he produced at least 23 fantasy points. The second reason I like Reilly is his match-up. The Redblacks have struggled against the pass all year long. This season Ottawa has allowed the most passing yards per attempt and second-most passing yards per game. Reilly also has already faced them this season in his last game and in that game he threw for 301 yards and a score while also adding in 20 rushing yards and a score for a season high 27.04 fantasy points.
RB- D.J. Foster $4,700
I cannot see myself spending up for running back right now with the way running backs have performed this season. I just don’t feel the high-priced guys such as James Wilder Jr. or Andrew Harris despite the safety they bring at the position are worth their salary as I don’t see a lot of upside with them. If you wanted to spend up at the position I cannot blame you as the cheaper running backs don’t really do it for me either. With that being said I am going to be taking a chance on Foster this week as he was solid in his first game of the season last week. Foster only rushed for 14 yards on three carries but his five catches for 38 yards helped make up the difference as he finished with 10.2 fantasy points. Foster has always shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and I expect him to reach double-digit fantasy points once again this week due to that ability.
WR- Lucky Whitehead
If I am playing Reilly at quarterback this week it only makes sense that I am going to target one of his two elite receivers Bryan Burnham or Lucky Whitehead. While I like Burnham a lot this week I am giving the slight edge to Whitehead due to his salary. Whitehead is almost $3,000 cheaper than Burnham is this week is actually playing better than Burnham is. Whitehead is eighth in the CFL in receptions while Burnham is 11th. Whitehead is fourth in receiving yards while Brunham is sixth. Whitehead is also averaging more fantasy points per game than Burnham is as he is averaging 17.0 points per game this season to Burnham’s 15.2.
