CFL DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for Week 2 – DraftKings
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our CFL Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for DraftKings to help navigate this week’s slate!
I am happy I played lite last week as I had an uneven week one. I missed on some plays and hit on a lot of plays but didn’t just seem to have the right combination of players in my lineups. With that being said I am back to playing my normal volume this week as I do feel after the first week of games that I have a better sense of this week’s slate.
RB- Brady Oliveira $6,300
Andrew Harris is listed as questionable this week but after missing week one he has not practiced all week. That tells me the likely hood of him suiting up let alone handling his normal workload is not very good. For that reason, I am going right back to Oliveria who we had in this article last week. In last week’s game, Oliveira started and had 22 carries for 126 yards. Both the carries and rushing yards were the highest a week ago. Oliveira also added in a catch for 21 yards for good measure. This week I don’t see why we don’t see a similar workload and production from Oliveria as Toronto struggled a bit against the run last week. Toronto allowed 101 yards rushing on 24 attempts last week. The 101 yards rushing were the third-most allowed last week after finishing dead last in rushing yards allowed per game in 2019.
QB- Nathan Rourke $7,000
I normally prefer to spend up at the quarterback position but this week I cannot see myself spending up at the position for the majority of my lineups with Rourke being so cheap. Rourke is going to be starting for the Lions with Michael Reilly out. With Reilly banged up last week and only playing limited snaps Rourke was solid with 194 passing yards and two scores while also adding in ten rushing yards. This week we should see better numbers as he will get more plays of course but also due to his match-up against the Stampeders. Calgary allowed 354 passing yards with two scores in week one.
WR- Brandon Banks $10,900
Banks is the most expensive player on the slate once again. Unlike last week where I was happy to roster his teammate Jaelon Acklin for the savings, I cannot recommend not having maximum exposure to Banks this week. This is just such a great spot for Banks as he takes on the Roughriders secondary. The Roughriders allowed 397 yards and three scores in week one which was by far the most in the CFL. The Roughriders not only suck but Banks always seems to have great games against them as well. In his last two games against them, Banks has gone for 6/77/1 and 7/113/0.
