DraftKings CS:GO Core Plays and Cheat Sheet (IEM) – April 27, 2021

Funplus Phoenix (FPX) v.s. BIG (7:30 AM)

FPX advanced from their last match which was a close one but now faceoff with a high-rank (6th) team in the world in BIG. STYKO was able to dominate once again and more than likely will lead for his FPX squad and hopefully with his teammates complementing his gun-skill. Zehn of FPX also did really well (1.35 K/D) and would need to be as consistent with STYKO as possible to give their team a chance. On the other hand, BIG is running hot with a current five-game streak into this game lead by the dominance of XANTARES. Fortunately for BIG, XANTARES contributes more per round (74.1%) compared to STYKO who contributes 68.8% to his team as of now so the stress should be less on BIG. XANTARES also has the clutch advantage (eight total) so FPX should definitely do the best they can to make him a non-factor in the game early.

mousesports (MOUZ) v.s. G2 Esports (G2) (7:30 AM)
With both teams entering with win streaks within close range (4 for MOUZ/3 for G2) and ranks being in close range (MOUZ- 17, G2- 9) this game has potential to go back and forth and to the wire. However, MOUZ averages more damage per round (373.5) than G2 (360.5) which should get things going early for mousesports. Ropz seems to have calmed down a bit with sniping but still contributed while acoR averaged the most damage on the team in the previous match and by a decent amount compared to his teammates. In addition, last time these two teams faced off MOUZ swept G2 in a series 2-0. Acor also dominmated in that matchup so he should have a good chance to perform well again. Lucikly for G2 as of now they are the more accurate team (headshot percentage of 34.3% versus MOUZ’s 29.3%) so it would help G2 tremendously if they are able to keep their shots on point. The majority of the slaying will be up to NiKo and huNter- who are currently the top two most efficient players on their team right now with 1.3 and 1.4 K/D’s.

FaZe Clan (FaZe) v.s. FURIA Esports (FURIA) (10:15 AM)

Although FURIA was one of the most dominant teams during the ESL Season 13 they have not been as strong lately. On the other hand, FaZe was one of the weaker teams during that season and have also been on a losing streak as well but also lost 1-2 in a series to FURIA earlier this year. The damage was given pretty evenly among the players from FURIA in that previous matchup but was led by KSCERATO with a 1.42 K/D who also performed best on his team in their last game although it was a loss. If broky and coldzera are on their game and can play up to their K/D standards (1.5/1.4) they can give FURIA a run for their money but the match will be a tough one regardless. As of right now the 55.6% win rate for FURIA favors them more but FaZe more than likely will give their all to get their revenge by winning.

OG Gaming (OG) v.s. Movistar Riders (MR) (10:15 AM)

One of the games that have potential to be really close on the slate is being given by these two teams who’s team overall K/D’s are pretty close with OG having the advantage of 1.04. Mantuu has continued to play really well for OG and will have to be countered by a combination of people from MR or an opposing sniper who happens to be their best player Smooya for MR. Unfortunately, for Smooya mantuu currently has a higher headshot percentage (37.4%) compared to his 27.6% which should make slaying slightly easier for mantuu. Regardless of who snipes better for their team the other teammates should do all they can to eliminate the opposing sniper as soon as possible to increase their chances of winning.
