Welcome to the WNBA Rundown for FanDuel and DraftKings contests on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
With only two days left in the regular season and with most teams having nothing to play for we are very likely to see teams rest some players after the most grueling WNBA season in the history of the sport. It is very important that you stay on top of the news that comes out throughout the day and are prepared to make last-minute adjustments to your lineups.
Guards to Target
Paris Kea ($6,900 DK/$4,600 FD)- Kea had her best game as a pro in the Liberty’s last game. In that game, Kea played a career-high 30 minutes, scored a career-high 21 points, and produced a career-high 26.2 fantasy points. While I am not expecting Kea to have career highs in points and fantasy points again I do expect her to play around 30 minutes again and with her averaging 0.93 fantasy points per minute this season I do expect her to produce 20 plus fantasy points which would easily pay off her salary.
Crystal Dangerfield ($8,800 DK/$6,000 FD)- Dangerfield is my top guard on this slate and it really isn’t close. Dangerfield has played at least 37 minutes in back-to-back games for the Lynx and has produced at least 27 fantasy points in six of her past eight games. Today I don’t see why Dangerfield won’t play that many minutes once again as the Lynx need a win to stay then number four seed and get a first-round bye. I also don’t see why she wouldn’t have that level of production again as the Fever has allowed the most points per game this season.
Forwards to Target
Jocelyn Willoughby ($6,400 DK/$4,800 FD)- Willoughby is a guard on DraftKings which is a bit unfortunate but even with her being listed as a guard on that site I still like her. The reason why I like Willoughby so much is the way she is playing. Willougby has played at least 20 minutes in five of the Liberty’s past six games including in three straight games. In those three games, she has started the past two games and is averaging 12 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. Willougby has at least 17 fantasy points in each of those games.
Napheesa Collier ($11,400 DK/$8,200 FD)-Collier has been one of the best players in the WNBA this season especially since Sylvia Fowles went down with an injury. In the 13 games since then, Collier is averaging 17.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.6 blocks. Collier has at least 35 fantasy points in 11 of those games and is averaging 43.3 fantasy points during this time period. The Fever who once again is not a good defensive team is not going to stop Collier in once again is a must-win game for the Lynx.
