Core Plays

Kevin Harvick – DK: $10,900 | FD: $14,200 – Starting 8th

There isn’t a ton I can say beyond Harvick’s numbers at Darlington, so sometimes I think it is just best to let them speak for themselves. Harvick has finished inside the top ten at Darlington over his last nine races and has led 150 or more laps three times in the last five years. Darlington isn’t necessarily a track that is easy to pass at so Harvick will have some work to do starting eighth. That being said, in his last four starts, he has place differential of +17, +5, +7, and +18. Chase Elliot has the pole in this race and should be able to lead a majority of the first stage. It will be after the first pit when things should get interesting but Harvick will have every opportunity to work his way to the front in this one. Outside of just Darlington, Harvick has turned in an incredible season, with 23 top ten finishes in 29 races, including seven wins.

Tyler Reddick – DK: $7,000 | FD: $9,000 – Starting 24th

Reddick has run Darlington five times in his career, three at the Xfinity level and twice in Cup. In his most recent Xfinity races, Reddick turned in a third-place finish and a second-place finish – including leading 70 laps in August of 2019. In his two cups races, Reddick has finished 13th and seventh – which equals out to a 10th place average finish. With it being a tough track to pass at, we are going to try to make up our differential from a little bit more mid of the pack instead of the very back end. Christopher Bell also falls into a similar level as Reddick here and it is a bit of a toss-up between the two. If you are looking to bluntly save salary, then Ryan Preece is likely your best bet, but note he has wrecked more than any other driver this year.
