Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for DraftKings.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
With Kyle Lowry back last game, VanVleet still played 43 minutes and had 19 points and six assists on his way to 36.25 fantasy points. That game marked the 11th time in his past 13 games that VanVleet has produced over 35 fantasy points. Now we are not going to see VanVleet play 40 plus minutes every night as the last game did go into overtime but we should see him play around 35 minutes and that should mean we see 35 plus fantasy points from VanVleet once again as he is averaging over a fantasy point per minute this season. The Rockets are also a great match-up as they are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to shooting guards this season.
Bertans really pops out for me tonight at his salary as he should play heavy minutes once again for a Wizards team that is dealing with a ton of injuries in the frontcourt. Those injuries lead to Bertans starting for the Wizards in their last game and playing 40 minutes. In those 40 minutes, Bertans scored 24 points while grabbing five rebounds on his way to 35.25 fantasy points. That was the second straight game that Bertans was able to produce at least 35 fantasy points and the eighth time in his past 11 games that he produced at least 28 fantasy points.
Ingram is underpriced in my eyes once again as all he has done is produce especially as of late. In his past 11 games, Ingram is averaging 26.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.1 steals, a block, and 45.32 fantasy points. One of those 11 games was against the Suns who he faces tonight and in that game, Ingram went for 51 fantasy points. There really is no reason to believe that Ingram doesn’t have a similar type of game in this one.
Embiid missed practice yesterday but should be good to go tonight and that makes him my top play on this slate as he takes on the Wizards. The Wizards were already one of the best possible match-ups for Embiid as they rank dead last in defensive net rating, last in team rebounding rate and are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to centers on the season with things only getting better due to the injuries the Wizards are dealing with. With Thomas Bryant and Mo Wagner out last game, the Wizards only had three players above 6’6″ on their roster and tonight that is likely to be the case once again as Bryant is out for a couple of weeks and Wagner is a 50/50 shot at best to play tonight.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
