FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet for DraftKings on November 30, 2019.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
PG – Trae Young, ATL @ HOU, $8,900
This is a really fun 3 game main slate tonight, and for a hair under $9,000 we have an opportunity to roster a top 3 usage player in the NBA in a great game for exposure. His 34.4% use year to date for a 21 year old is absolutely incredible for a guy of his youth in the NBA, and although the TS% isn’t tremendous (58.5%), it’s nothing to scoff at when you compare him to guys like Kawhi Leonard and even Russell Westbrook who are top 10 usage guys as well.
Even though HOU has been pretty stingy against PGs in their last 8 games (39.6 FPPG), they struggle against SGs and some of that production will naturally funnel to Young given how many touches and shots he accounts for. But, this could mean that he probably isn’t going to have a 55+ point game – instead I expect something closer to 47-52 points.
However, he has 46.5+ fantasy points in 4 straight games (3 of which were over the 57 point mark), and a couple of those were games where his team scored less than 105 points. He’s a high floor, elite upside play for a very affordable price tonight in a game you want plenty of exposure to. It should be fun to watch him share the floor with Harden and Westbrook tonight to see what he can do.
SF/PF – Jabari Parker, ATL @ HOU, $6,700
We’re loving him both on FD and DK tonight. I’m wanting tons of exposure to both teams in this game, and Parker is right at the top of my list when it comes to Hawks to have in my lineup (Trae Young, too, as mentioned above – especially with his relative value on DK).
For Parker, he continues to play heavy minutes, and in high-scoring games, he typically sees mid-20s usage in addition to scoring a nice chunk of points and contributing both on the glass (B2B games with 10+ boards) and in the steals department (2+ in 8 of his last 9 games). The price is quite reasonable given the smaller slate, especially when you think about the 32-36+ FP upside he brings to the table here with a 25 point worst-case floor.
These are two of the best values on the slate in my eyes tonight, as they sit at $7,000 combined and can easily fill up some value spots in an excellent game for exposure. Some might add Austin Rivers to the mix here at a great price ($3,200), but his very low floor makes him less attractive to me given the better options at the same positions.
With all the illnesses and injuries currently plaguing the Rockets, these 2 guys are expected to play 22-25 minutes as a floor, and garbage time could only help the cause in this regard should it get out of hand early. They should see mid-teens usage for the most part, and Clark’s last game with 29 minutes and 28.5 FP is encouraging given Clint Capela and Danuel House are both expected out again.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
