Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for DraftKings.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
- Mike Conley (27.00 fantasy points, 4.2x value)
- Bogdan Bogdanovic (33.25 fantasy points, 5.0x value)
- Blake Griffin (34.25 fantasy points, 4.8x value)
- Tyson Chandler (13.00 fantasy points, 3.3x value)
McConnell has played really well in the past four games with the Pacers dealing with injuries. In those four games, McConnell is averaging 11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 26.56 fantasy points in just 21.9 minutes of action. Tonight we should see McConnell have similar if not better production as he is likely going to play way more than 21 minutes as I doubt Malcolm Brogdon is able to suit up tonight after leaving Friday’s game after only nine minutes with a back injury.
The Rockets are going to be without Eric Gordon and Danuel House again tonight and that has to put McLemore on your radar. In the past two games with those players out, McLemore is averaging 14.5 points and four rebounds in 27.6 minutes of action. McLemore has at least 18 fantasy points in each of those games. With Russell Westbrook also out for the Rockets tonight we should see heavy minutes once again for McLemore and I don’t see why we wouldn’t see similar production in the game that has the highest projected total on this slate.
Butler is way too cheap tonight in my eyes. In his eight games with the Heat, Butler is averaging 18 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.6 steals+blocks. Butler has at least 33 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 41.8 fantasy points per game this season. Butler is not just playing well but the match-up is one that I love to target wing players against. This season the Pelicans rank in the bottom six in fantasy points allowed per game and defensive efficiency to both shooting guards and small forwards.
Playing Harden tonight doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out as he is going to be the most popular player on this slate but that doesn’t mean he is the wrong play. Harden has just been that damn good this season especially in his past six games. In those six games, he is averaging 42 points, seven rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 3.5 steals+blocks. Harden has at least 70 fantasy points in five of those games. Those numbers only figure to go up tonight as Russell Westbrook is going to miss tonight’s game. With Westbrook off the court, Harden has seen a huge jump in usage to 47.2% and is averaging 1.72 fantasy points per minute. The Wolves are also an elite match-up for Harden as they play at the second-fastest pace in the NBA and are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
