The Daily Three Pack – FantasyDraft MLB DFS Picks- May 15, 2019

Welcome to the Daily Three Pack where we share three core players on FantasyDraft that you are going to want to target for MLB DFS contests on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

In this article, I am going to give you three core plays that I am using in cash games for the main slate of games. This core will include a player at each of the three positions on FantasyDraft pitcher, infielder, and outfielder.

Pitcher to Target

Eduardo Rodriguez-$16,300-BOS

Rodriguez is a boom or bust pitcher who has been a lot more boom than bust lately. In his past four starts, Rodriguez has pitched at least six innings in three of those starts. In those three starts, he has allowed a total of two runs, has 19 total strikeouts and has produced at least 22 fantasy points in each of those starts. Tonight I am expecting another great performance from Rodriguez as he takes on a Rockies team that struggles away from Coors. This season the Rockies have the third-lowest team wOBA and third-highest team K rate in away games.

Yesterday’s Results: Caleb Smith 20.40 fantasy points

Infielder to Target

Joey Gallo-$10,400-TEX

Gallo is one of the top hitters on this slate as he is facing a bad right-handed pitcher in Jorge Lopez. Lopez has really struggled against left-handed hitting this season as he is allowing them to slash .317/.380/.667 with a .432 wOBA. Gallo, on the other hand, has eaten up right-handed pitching this season with an OPS of 1.048, an ISO of .388 and a wOBA of .425. What I really love about Gallo is the fact that he has been a lot better about getting on base at a high percentage as his OBP is .401 this season aided by a career-high 19.7% walk rate.

Yesterday’s Results: Robinson Cano 2.00 fantasy points

Outfielder to Target

Andrew McCutchen-$7,600-PHI

Gio Gonzalez has looked great in his first three starts for the Brewers and has been a solid pitcher throughout his career. With that being said I really like McCutchen tonight. McCutchen always tends to hit left-handed pitching well and for his career, he has an OPS of .948, an ISO of .235 and a wOBA of .404 against them. McCutchen also always seem to hit Gonzalez well. McCutchen and Gonzalez have faced off 29 times in their careers. In those plate appearances, McCutchen has an OPS of .934 and has four extra-base hits.

Yesterday’s Results: Brandon Nimmo 7.00 fantasy points
