The FC Value Aisle NBA DFS Fantasy Cruncher

The Value Aisle – NBA DFS Value Plays for Yahoo! – February 8, 2019

Trades make way for value in tonight’s Yahoo contests (Feb 8, 2019)

With the flurry of trades happening in the NBA, DFS players are finding special value in players moving up in the depth charts. Today’s Value Aisle looks at some of these players and some other great values available tonight.

Kevin Love ($10) – Love is in the air tonight. Keep an eye on his status as Yahoo has him at minimum salary despite the chance that he will play. If Love does play tonight, he is must play at this salary. In the last four games he played, Love averaged 42.9 fantasy points. He is currently listed as questionable, but should he play he should be listed in your lineups tonight (assuming we are looking at a 20+ minute output).

Dwight Powell ($14) – Powell is an amazing value tonight on Yahoo. He deserves consideration at a $6,000 play on FanDuel but at a modest $14 on Yahoo he is a slam dunk. He is seeing a significant increase in minutes, averaging 23.75 MPG over his last four games. On Wednesday, he played 27 minutes and scored 38.50 fantasy points. He is trending upward and Yahoo is making a gift Powell at his salary.

Maxi Kleber ($12) – The Harrison Barnes trade continues to open things up even more for Kleber to get on today’s Value Aisle. He has averaged 28.3 MPG over his last three and his minutes are locked into this range or better for the foreseeable future. He is getting starting minutes at a $12 salary and that’s just too hard to pass up.

Dorian Finney-Smith ($11) – Along with Maxi Kleber, Dorian Finney-Smith is also getting added value due to the Barnes trade. He put a double-double on the stat sheet on Wednesday and his minutes are increasing. In his last three games he’s averaged 31.7 MPG. At an even lower salary than Kleber, Finney-Smith is in a favorable situation to bring extra value to your lineups. Just be aware that his lower usage role for DAL tends to limit the upside in games he isn’t able to contribute on the defensive end.

Collin Sexton ($15) – Another beneficiary of trades is Collin Sexton. With Alec Burks off to Sacramento, Sexton has taken on a much bigger role for Cleveland. He led the Cavs in scoring on Tuesday while scoring 40.3 fantasy points in 42 minutes of play. I’m not sure how a player in a situation can have a salary as low as Collin Sexton, but I advise you to put him in your lineups and ask the questions later.
