Sharing expert lineup picks and value targets for Yahoo! NBA DFS on November 13, 2017. Helping you on your journey to win daily fantasy basketball on Yahoo!.
This article will give you a top play and value to consider at each position on Yahoo! for NBA DFS contests.
Note: for a player to be considered a value they must be under $20 in salary
Top Play- Lonzo Ball ($27)– This may seem like point chasing after Ball’s huge game in which he became the youngest player ever to triple-double but I can promise you it is not. While Ball’s huge 69.9 fantasy point game is in my mind the reason why I want to play Ball tonight is due to the match-up with the Suns. The Suns are one of the worst defensive teams if not the worst in the NBA. This season they are allowing the most points per game and most fantasy points per game to point guards. Ball also dominated the Suns in their first meeting this season with 29/11/9 on his way to 54.7 fantasy points.
Value Play- Tyler Ulis ($10)– I am not a huge fan of Ulis tonight as his minutes are not secure. With that being said if Ulis does draw the start once again tonight he has to be on your radar as he is minimum salary and you are going to want as much exposure to the Lakers-Suns game as you possibly can.
Top Play- Devin Booker ($35)– You may see a trend brewing in this article as this is the third player from the Lakers-Suns game in this article and won’t be the last. I cannot stress enough how much you want to target that game as both teams rank in the top five in terms of pace and both teams are not great defensive teams. While Lonzo Ball who I talked about earlier is my favorite player from this game, Booker is a very close second. The reason why Booker is a very close second is due to the fact that he is the primary scorer on the Suns and dominated the Lakers earlier in the season with 25/11/8 on his way to 50.2 fantasy points. What makes that game even more impressive is the fact that Eric Bledsoe was still with the Suns in that game. Booker is going to score 30 points tonight and should produce well over 50 fantasy points once again.
Value Play- Austin Rivers ($12)– I don’t understand why Rivers is only $2 above site minimum tonight. Rivers is playing heavy minutes for the Clippers due to all the injuries to their backcourt and producing at a high level. Rivers has produced at least 19 fantasy points in nine of his past ten games and in his past four games, he has produced at least 29 fantasy points three times. The match-up with the 76ers is also a positive one. At his salary, Rivers is going to be a cash game staple of my lineups tonight.
Top Play- Kyle Kuzma ($22)– I love LeBron James tonight and if you can afford him, of course, he should be in your lineups. With that being said there are plenty of stud players on this slate and there are a couple that I will talk about later that I have ranked higher than James tonight. With James more of a secondary play for me tonight, I am going to be spending down at the small forward position for one of the three starting forwards in the Lakers-Suns game. The trio of Brandon Ingram, T.J. Warren, and Kyle Kuzma are all excellent plays with Kuzma getting the slight edge of the trio as he is the cheapest of the three.
Value Play- None– There is some value at the small forward position tonight but those value plays are all between $20 and $25 in salary.
Top Play- Kristaps Porzingis ($49)– Porzingis is one of my favorite players on this slate. Porzingis leads the NBA in usage rate of 36.0% and has scored at least 28 points in nine of his 11 games. Porzingis is not only scoring at a high rate but he is also rebounding at a nice rate with 7.3 rebounds and on the defensive end with 2.3 blocks. The match-up with the Cavs is also a very positive one as the Cavs are a horrible defensive team. This season the Cavs have the worst defensive efficiency in the NBA and Porzingis dominated them earlier in the season for a double-double on his way to 52.4 fantasy points.
Value Play- Derrick Favors ($16)– With Rudy Gobert out you can expect Favors to play a lot of minutes like he did on Saturday for the Jazz. In that game, Favors played 35 minutes and produced at a very high level with 24 points and 12 rebounds on his way to 46.4 fantasy points. Tonight we should see similar minutes from Favors and we could see similar production as Karl-Anthony Towns has been one of the worst defensive centers in the NBA this season and Favors should play most of his minutes at the five tonight.
Top Play- DeAndre Jordan ($29)– I am going to be playing the match-up when it comes to Jordan tonight as the 76ers have really struggled against centers. This season the 76ers are allowing the second most fantasy points per game to the position. I also love Jordan’s salary as he is under $30 in salary and should be able to produce in the 40 fantasy point range which would pay off his salary.
Value Play- Tyson Chandler ($10)– To finish this article off I am going to give you one more player from the Lakers-Suns game in Chandler. The Lakers have a great DVP against centers this season but that shouldn’t bother you with Chandler for two reasons. The first reason is due to Chandler’s salary as he is minimum salary. The second reason is due to the fact that Chandler has a nice floor with his ability to rebound and defend as Chandler has produced at least 17 fantasy points in all but three games this season including a 24.8 fantasy point performance against the Lakers earlier in the season.
