Fantasy Cruncher is a service to help construct large volumes of lineups. It adds features like stacking, groups, exposure and player like/dislike to facilitate the efficient creation of hundreds of lineups at a time.

Without putting your own effort and research you will not get winning lineups.

In today's DFS landscape. Everyone has access to all the data and tools that the Pros/sharks have. The trick to winning is using the tools effectively.

That being said. FC is in the top 5 DFS tools in the industry. And #1 lineup generator by far.

whats the best way to use the optimizer

The best way depends on what your process is and resources available to you.

In NBA for example.

First thing I do is get free projections from around the web and aggregate them into a weighted average. I then upload into FC so I have FC projections and custom projections to compare with while building lineups.

The next thing I do is gather all the NBA vegas player props for the slate. Using these you can get an idea of what a player is supposed to do that evening and the odds of that performance actually taking place. (Use parsehub and you can automate this process and get an API key for Rstudio or google sheets)

Using google sheets I can calculate a players Fantasy points based on vegas props. I give between 1 and 3 thumbs up to players that have vegas props available. 3 thumbs up goes to players that vegas thinks can get a double or triple double. 1 thumbs up to a player that vegas thinks will out perform any one of 3 key stats (Pts , Rb, Asst). I do not use the FP calculated from vegas props in FC. These are estimates and do not include all stats.

Now I set my exposures. Initially I would download the Slate results from the previous night and store them in a database so I can calculate my own ownership projections in R studio using LME4 model package. But since fantasylabs now has ownerships. I've been cheating and just using theirs. I set my players ownerships based on how much exposure I want to them, what the expected ownership will be and the vegas props. If a player is expected to be 80% owned. I only use them in 20% of lineups.

Now that I have all the pieces together. In fantasy labs depending on number of games. I set 2 - 3 unique players, Max exposure for anyone who does not have a custom exposure to 80% and max # of players from a team to 3. You can use any settings here that you are comfortable with.

Lastly I solve for between 10 and 50 lineups and look at the exposure results on the left to make sure everything is in order and bad players like the entire 76ers team do not appear in my lineups. Once satisfied I upload to DK and hope no one get injured. :)

where can i find the player props without signing up for the site?

(forum-mods: can we move this convo out of the " Win free FC with our logo contest" thread? I just noticed we've completely hijacked the topic)

sportsbook.ag or bodogs.

I highly recommend learning a scripting language like 'R' to auto-pull the props from their site, or using Parsehub.

The props are usually out 2 hrs before the first game tips and IMO that is not enough time to manually copy them to a useful format in exel or google sheets.

If it is a big night (7+ games) It takes me easily 90 mins or more to copy/paste/munge the data. The sites deliberately put the props in a cumbersome format for scraping.

If it is a turbo or late slate, it is much more manageable

Am I still eligible for this for tonight's contest?
