Core Plays

Justin Allgaier – $10,800 – Starting 5th

We hit the 1.33-mile track in Nashville this week for a return to tri-oval tracks. This is a bit of a hybrid track between Dover and Darlington, which if I am following my own logic there, we have to look at Allgaier towards the front. Back in Dover, Allgaier finished second, while the following week at Darlington he finished first. It is actually now six-straight races for Allgaier where he has finished seventh or better and five of those are top-5 finishes. Tracks like this aren’t going to have crazy constant passing and we should only see a lot of major changes from cautions or pits. Recently at ovals or intermediates, Allgaier has fastest lap marks of 41, 29, 14, and 43. He has laps led of 67, 76, 33, and 63. These are all great signs for someone we want to be our dominator for the day.

Parker Retzlaff – $5,900 – Starting 25th

Retzlaff only has four races to his name on the year, but the last three have been a 10th, a 12th, and 17th place finish. He also started 10-20-23 in those races, so this will be the furthest back we get him which increases our differential upside here. Over his last three races, Retzlaff is averaging 36 fantasy points. Retzlaff is a very young driver, but had nine top-10 finishes in ARCA last year and now races for RSS. The Seig equipment is good, so we don’t need to worry about him being in anything non-competitive here. Given the starting spot and the salary, Retzlaff falls as good on-paper value for us today.
