Favorite Plays
Katie Lou Samuelson
Lou Samuelson has been as consistent as they come at the guard position as of late. In her past six games, Lou Samuelson has scored in double-digits in five of the games and has produced at least 19 fantasy points in each of those five games. During this stretch, Lou Samuelson is averaging 13.2 points, two rebounds, two assists, 1.3 steals, and 22.3 fantasy points in 30.8 minutes of action. One of the games during this period was against the Wings who Lou Samuelson plays today and there really is no reason to believe that Lou Samuelson doesn’t have another solid game as the Wings are not a great defensive team.
Marine Johannes
Johannes has only played three games for the Liberty this season but has already made her impact felt. Johannes has at least 20 fantasy points in two of those three games and has seen an increase in minutes in each of her three games including a start and 36 minutes in her last game. If you are looking for a cheap guard on this slate Johannes is the one that I would look at the hardest for the previously mentioned reasons.
Emma Meesseman
Meesseman is having a great month in June. In her six games this month Meesseman is averaging 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks. Meesseman has at least 37 fantasy points in five of the six games including in three straight games. Meeseeman is not only putting up big numbers right now but she also will get a boost due to Candace Parker expecting to miss her today’s game. The Fever who Meesseman faces today is also an elite match-up as they rank dead last in points allowed per game and have allowed the fourth-most rebounds per game this season.
Teaira McCowan
McCowan is a huge risk on this slate but she is a risk that I am willing to take as I love what we have seen from her as of late. McCowan has at least 20 fantasy points in two of her last three games. Her performance in her last game is what really stands out to me. In that game, McCowan played a season-high 25 minutes and put up a huge stat line of 18/10 with a block on her way to 32.5 fantasy points. With Satou Sabally still out with an injury, we could see McCowan play over 20 minutes again today. Another reason I am willing to take the risk on McCowan today is the match-up with the Sparks is an elite one. This season the Sparks have allowed the second-most points per game and have the third-worst team rebounding rate.
