Featuring in-depth analysis of The Country Club at Brookline! Daily fantasy golf analysis for this week’s DFS PGA course to help you figure out what stats to look for and the best way to approach this week’s course!
This week, the players tee it up at the third major of the year as the 2022 US Open will be hosted at The Country Club at Brookline. The course checks in at 7264 yards and is a Par 70 track – and is always the case for the US Open, I am expecting that the USGA will be up to their usual tricks and have the course play extremely difficult. The greens here are very small – ball striking will be paramount for the field as they try and position themselves on the leaderboard throughout the week and into the weekend.
As a result, when it comes to metrics, I will be focusing on:
- SG (APP)
- Bogey Avoidance
- Driving Accuracy
- SG: (ATG)
We don’t have much in the way of course history here as the only event held at Brookline in semi-recent memory was an amateur tournament in 2013 that was won by Matthew Fitzpatrick. In terms of narratives, we will see if Jon Rahm can repeat after his win here last year. As is the case in most majors – pricing here is soft and the field is strong, so I don’t think you have to go too deep down the salary rankings in terms of building your player pools for this week’s event.
Best of luck in your contests this week, and keep an eye out for our Cheat Sheet and Primer which will be released on Tuesday and Wednesday this week in advance of the first round of the 2022 US Open!
