CFL DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for Week 1, 2022 – DraftKings
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our CFL Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for DraftKings to help navigate this week’s slate!
QB- Nick Arbuckle $8,500
There are some quarterbacks that I like better than Arbuckle on this slate but when I factor in salary and match-up Arbuckle is the quarterback I am going to have the most exposure to. Arbuckle is very affordable at only $8,500 in salary which allows you to spend up for some of the other expensive players at other positions. As far as match-ups go Arbuckle tasks on a BC team that allowed the most passing completions and third-most passing yards per game a year ago. Did I also mention that Arbuckle in his limited playing time was pretty damn good with at least 18 fantasy points in three of his five games?
RB- Ka’Deem Carey $9,500
Carey is the name everyone is going to be talking about at the running back position and for good reason. Carey had 986 rushing yards last season while also adding in 29 receptions for 213 yards and nine total touchdowns. Carey produced double-digit fantasy points in ten of his 14 games and averaged 15.06 fantasy points per game a year ago which was the most among running backs a year ago. Carey also is in a great match-up against Montreal. Montreal finished dead last in yards per carry and rushing touchdowns last season. In his one game against them, last season Carey had 22.1 fantasy points which was his fourth-highest on the season.
WR- Drew Wolitarsky $4,300
I wanted to write up Lucky Whitehead who is our favorite player in the CFL over at FantasyCruncher but it is really hard to stomach his salary this week. While I think Whitehead is going to be well worth his salary the issue is going to be how can you afford him. Enter in Wolitarsky at $4,3000 in salary. Wolitarsky is not a big-name player and he didn’t light the league on fire last season only producing over ten fantasy points twice in his 14 games but what Wolitarsky lacked in ceiling last he more than made up for in his floor. Wolitarsky had at least two catches in all but one game last season and produced at least three fantasy points in all but one game last season. Wolitarsky’s floor also figures to be a little higher this season as Winnipeg’s offense is expected to be more of a passing offense this season after averaging a league-low 28.1 passing attempts a game last season.
