Please note that players on DraftKings and FanDuel have multi-position eligibility and may not always match their position between each other. In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to always keep your eye on the news as the day progresses, as NBA news changes the slate frequently.

Guards

D’Angelo Russell ($7,900 DK, $7,600 FD)

I really like the consistency we have seen from Russell since his return to the Wolves lineup. After struggling in his first game back, Russell is averaging 22.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in his past three games. Russell has at least 35 fantasy points in each of those three games with two of those games going for at least 45 fantasy points.

Dennis Smith Jr. ($4,000 DK, $4,400 FD)

Anfernee Simons is going to miss tonight’s game due to a personal reason and that leaves Smith Jr. as the only guard left for the Blazers with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum also out. That should lead to a start and big minutes for Smith Jr. tonight. Starting is something Smith Jr. has actually thrived in with the Blazers in his three previous starts. In those starts, Smith Jr. is averaging 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, six assists, and 2.7 steals+blocks in 39 minutes of action. Smith Jr. produced at least 29 fantasy points in each of those starts as well.

Forwards

Khris Middleton ($8,700 DK, $8,400 FD)

With Jrue Holiday out I really like Middleton. This season when not sharing the court with Holiday Middleton has seen an increase of usage of 4.4% to 31.1% and is averaging 1.18 fantasy points per minute. If we look at just the seven games that Middleton has played that Holiday has missed we will see that Middleton is averaging 20.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.6 assists, two steals, and 39.86 fantasy points.

Robert Covington ($5,800 DK, $5,600 FD)

Covington is playing really solid basketball right now for the short-handed Trail Blazers. Covington has started each of the past three games for the Trail Blazers and played at least 34 minutes. In those games, Covington is averaging 15.3 points, six rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 2.7 blocks. Covington has at least 32 fantasy points in each of those games and has hit that mark in five of the past six games he has played at least 30 minutes which he should be a lock for tonight.

Power Foward/Centers

Day’Ron Sharpe ($3,300 DK, $4,500 FD)

The Nets are down a couple of players in the frontcourt currently with LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Claxton out and that has led to Sharpe playing decent minutes. Sharpe has played at least 22 minutes in each of the past two games for the Nets. Sharpe has not only seen the minutes but he has also played really well with averages of 17 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks while producing at least 29 fantasy points in each of the two games.
