DraftKings CS:GO Esports DFS Rundown (BLAST) – November 24, 2021

FaZe Clan (FAZE) v.s. Heroic (HERO) (8:30 AM EST) (-168 HERO)

Two premiere teams in the high rankings face off to start the slate and both will be looking to rebound from their one game loss. The last time these teams played each other this year the series went down to the wire with FAZE coming out victorious 2-1. Broky was the most dominant player and helped carry FAZE to a victory with a +29 kill-death differential in that series. He’s also managed to remain the most efficient player for the FAZE team with a 1.23 K/D and coming off a +23 kill-death game in FAZE’s last loss so that should be a concern for HERO. One of HERO’s strongest slayers in TeSeS was also the only player with a positive kill-death differential in the previous matchup, and unfortunately, has been regressing slightly as of late and coming off a negative kill-death differential game. Therefore, if TeSeS ends up underperforming again HERO may end up in trouble due to everyone else on the team struggling to slay efficiently last matchup which may result in a FAZE upset.

Berlin International Gaming (BIG) v.s. Natus Vincere (NATUS) (12:00 PM EST) (-700 NATUS)

BIG gets an unlucky matchup this game against arguably the best team in the world in NATUS who are currently on a six-game winning streak. Surprisingly, BIG was able to sweep NATUS the last time they faced off so it will be interesting to see how NATUS adjusts here. Both top slayers on both teams in s1mple and tabseN led the way for their team in kills but with electronic and B1T almost totaling +30 deaths each it became more difficult for NATUS to hit at least double-digit rounds in the last map of the last slate. However, B1T and electronic have performed well their last match and with positive kill-death differentials so they have a chance of shifting that momentum to this match to help their team get revenge. For NATUS, s1mple will most likely be the player to help carry the load for his team especially with a 1.44 K/D as o f late which is higher than anyone on both sides. One of the top slayers for BIG though in tabseN has been struggling as of late, and so is syrsoN who happened to be the most efficient in the last match these teams had with a +14 kill-death differential. If BIG are unable to perform similar to how the did that last match if not better they may end up getting swept, especially when s1mple is way ahead in consistency with a 1.44 K/D and an opposing sniper in syrsoN averaging drastically less damage (69.4) per round verus s1mple’s 86.3 per round. This should set up NATUS nicely to get their revenge and end up victorious.

Astralis (ASTRA) v.s. Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) (3:00 PM EST) (-180 NIP)

The new look ASTRA squad will be making an appearance and face a top ten team as of now in NIP. NIP dominated with ease last matchup and most of the contribution came from hampus of NIP. Fortunately for NIP, hampus has been averaging the most damage dealt per round lately which could cause hampus be one of the top contributors for his team slaying wise. However, NIP is now getting a wildcard type of team since they are newly formed which could affect how NIP adjust to their play-style. BlameF of ASTRA is also with range of hampus damage wise at 82.1 versus hampus’ 84.9 which could make their fights scrappy.  That being said device may have to perform even better as the main sniper for NIP to make kills easier for hampus and the rest of his teammates. Device also will have a large edge against the opposing sniper in Lucky who happens to have a drastically lower damage average per round (59.6 versus device’s 78) and 0.08 assist rate compared to device’s 0.12. In other words, device has the better chance of helping his teammates succeed in battles more but the biggest challenge for NIP will be how to adjust to the new look ASTRA.
