NHL DFS Cheat Sheet & Slate Overview | Monday, November 22, 2021
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our DraftKings and FanDuel Cheat Sheets to help navigate today’s slate!
- The Avs are going to be extremely popular tonight as they host Ottawa, checking in as -333 favorites in a game with a projected total of 6. This will be the key decision that you’ll have to make tonight as the top PP unit for the Avs will be extremely popular. If you opt for a fade here, it could pay off handsomely if they aren’t part of a large field GPP win – however, there’s no shortage of risk in going this route as they are one of the best teams in hockey and Ottawa is among the league’s worst. For me, I like the idea of going neutral weight on them, which would be about ~20% in large field GPP’s on the top PP unit, and you can sprinkle in some COL1 exposure (which sees Logan O’Connor set to play with Landeskog and Rantanen).
- Matt Duchene has been electric, and it’s hard not to love the spot for him at home against Anaheim tonight, along with Granlund from the top line for the Preds, who check in at a reasonable $6,000 and $5,500 respectively on DK tonight in a nice match-up at home.
- From the same game, if you are looking for a potential team to fly under the radar tonight, the Ducks are probably it. They are dogs on the road, and Nashville is fresh off of a 6-3 loss to the Habs on Saturday night. Anaheim has been under the radar a little bit and have some key cogs in their offensive attack that are still quite affordable. My favorite way to play them would be with modest exposure to both ANA1 and adding Zegras in for one of the wingers in some combos. The Getzlaf line has above average analytics in terms of puck possession – and while they could leave a little to be desired in terms of expected goals per 60, I like the spot for them tonight and it shouldn’t be hard to get an over-weight position on them without allocating too many of your builds.
- Without going into too much detail, I’ve liked the Canes all season long – and if you are looking for a late night hammer, CAR1/CAR PP1 have not shown me enough to pivot off of getting significant exposure to them. Freddie Andersen is another strong option to consider in net tonight, assuming he gets the start for the Canes as they keep plowing through their western roadtrip.
