Core Plays

QB- McLeod Bethel-Thompson $9,200

Bethel-Thompson has not been great over the past two weeks throwing five interceptions and producing under 15 fantasy points in each of those games but I am expecting him to bounce back in a huge way this week thanks to his match-up against Ottawa. Ottawa has allowed the third-most passing yards per game this season at 271.7, the most passing yards per attempt at 9.1, and the most passing touchdowns with 20.

RB- William Powell $9,900

Powell has been as consistent as they come at the running back position this season. Powell has at least 40 yards rushing in all but two games, has at least two catches in all but one game with at least three catches in seven of his games, and has produced at least eight fantasy points in all but one game. While we have not seen the big games from Powell this season as he has only produced over 20 fantasy points one time sometimes being consistent is all we need. I especially think that is true from the running back position as it is normally as it is one of the most inconsistent positions in the CFL. This week I especially like Powell’s consistent play as I also feel that he has a chance for a breakout game due to the match-up against Edmonton. Edmonton has allowed the most rushing yards per game and most rushing yards per attempt this season.

WR- Reggie White Jr. $3,300

Since I am spending up at the running back position I am going to need to find at least one punt wide receiver to be able to afford Powell. While there are a couple of punt wideouts I like this week White Jr. is my favorite of the bunch. White has seven catches for 100 yards over his past two games and is averaging 7.5 fantasy points in those games.
