DFS Analysis of UFC Fight Night 195: Ladd vs Dumont (October 16, 2021)

Top DFS Plays for UFC Fight Night 195: Ladd vs Dumont (10/16/21)

The UFC returns to Las Vegas for more MMA action from the UFC’s Apex Facility. Our analysis will take a deeper look at some of my favorite plays for DFS contests on Saturday.

Fighter to Build Your Lineups Around

LUDOVIT KLEIN (DK $9,200 / FD $23) – Although Klein lost by decision to Michael Trizano in May of this year, he had been on an 8 fight win streak prior to that loss. During his win streak, he had 7 finishes in those 8 fights including a first-round KO of Shane Young in his UFC debut. He faces Nate Landwehr who is 1-2 since joining the UFC and most recently lost to Julian Erosa inside of the first minute. Klein is not only the biggest favorite of all fighters in this event, but he is also the only fighter who is favored to get a finish inside the distance.

(At the time of this writing, Ludovit Klein is -370 with the oddsmakers and has a projected score of 75.66 on Fantasy Cruncher.)

Fighter with the Best Value

BRUNO SILVA (DK $8,300 / FD $18) – Silva is on a 5 fight win streak with finishes in each of them including 4 inside the first round. In his UFC debut, he finished Wellington Turman by KO in round number one. He will face Andrew Sanchez who is 3-4 over his last 7 fights. During that span, Sanchez was finished by KO/TKO in 3 of his 4 losses. Overall, Silva has a career record of 20-6 with 17 wins by KO/TKO. Current odds make Silva a slight +115 underdog to get another finish on Saturday. That gives him the second-best odds at an early conclusion bonus of all fighters on Saturday.

(At the time of this writing, Bruno Silva is -160 with the oddsmakers and has a projected score of 62.32 on Fantasy Cruncher.)

Fighter with the Best Upset Potential

CARLOS FELIPE (DK $8,000 / FD $16) – Since suffering a loss by majority decision in his UFC debut, Felipe has gone on to win his next 3 fights inside the octagon. He faces Andrei Arlovski who has just 6 wins over his last 17 fights. This is the most closely handicapped fight of all on Saturday, and Felipe is a minus-money dog in this one. Felipe also possesses one of the highest floors on Saturday as his opponent has not scored a finish since May of 2015. Look for Felipe to take a narrow decision victory in this fight.

(At the time of this writing, Carlos Felipe is -109 with the oddsmakers and has a projected score of 55.13 on Fantasy Cruncher.)

That’s all for this week. Good luck with your lineups!
