DraftKings Xfinity NASCAR DFS – Drive for the Cure 250 – October 9, 2021
AJ Allmendinger – DK: $10,700 – Starting 14th
Maybe I am taking the easy way out with Allmendinger this weekend, but if we ignore price, it is hard to argue against this. Allmendinger is 2-for-2 in his two races at the Charlotte Roval, winning in 2019 after starting fifth and winning again in 2020 after starting 22nd. Allmendinger has 18 top-ten’s in 28 races on the year, but also is one of the best road course drivers on the circuit. Since 2018, in 15 road course races, Allmendinger has 12 top-five finishes.
Brandon Brown- DK: $6,000 – Starting 16th
Brandon Brown isn’t the circuit’s best road course driver, but he is also very far from the worst. I also am a big believer in carry-over confidence and with Brandon Brown winning last week at Talladega (despite under caution) a win is still a win and Brown’s form has been pretty good recently. When it comes to other road courses this year, Brown finished 8th at the Daytona Road, 6th at Mid-Ohio, 11th at Road America, and 12th at Watkins Glen. Not listed were some struggles at Indy and COTA. This is a low price on a good driver who is $600 cheaper than his price last week.
