CFL DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for Week 9 – DraftKings
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our CFL Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for DraftKings to help navigate this week’s slate!
QB- Michael Reilly $8,800
I have struggled to get the quarterback position right this season and it has affected my profits. Quarterback is the one position you have to nail in any football-related DFS contests. This week I have a great feeling that I am going to nail my quarterback as I don’t feel you can go wrong by rostering three or four quarterbacks this week. My favorite of the group is Reilly. Reilly has been playing lights out over his past four games. In those four games, Reilly has three 300 yard passing games, at least two total touchdowns in each game, and at least 20 fantasy points in each game. This week shouldn’t be any different for Reilly though I will readily admit I am a little scared of the match-up against an elite Winnipeg pass defense.
RB- Williams Stanback $9,100
The running back position sucks this week as you are forced to pay up for one of the expensive backs. There just are not any safe or even decent value running backs on this slate. Since I am forced to pay up this week I am going to be paying up for Stanback who I feel is the most consistent running back in the CFL. Stanback has at least 80 yards rushing in five of his six games and at least 100 yards rushing in four of those games. The elite rushing numbers have allowed Stanback to produced at least 14 fantasy points in all but the game he had less than 80 yards rushing. Now that game that Stanback was held in check was against Hamilton who Stanback faces this week but even with Hamilton having a solid run defense I just don’t see them stopping Stanback again. Besides even if they do hold Stanback in check he still might end up as the highest-scoring running back on this slate as the position really is that bad.
WR- Kian Schaffer-Baker $3,400 & Ricardo Louis $3,000
I am going to give you two cheap wideouts from Saskatchewan this week as I really like the potential of their passing game. I like their potential due to the match-up against Calgary who has struggled to stop the pass. This season, Calgary has allowed 281.1 passing yards per game which is second-most in the CFL. Both Schaffer-Baker and Louis have also shown they can outplay their salary. Schaffer-Baker has at least seven catches for at least 70 yards receiving in two of his past three games and Louis went for five catches for 71 yards and a score last week.
