MLB DFS: Daily Home Run Picks for FanDuel & DraftKings on September 12, 2021.
Every day this season, our team shares who we believe has the best chance to leave the yard. From one-off plays to core parts of daily stacks, we hope this fun article will help you build winning lineups along the way.
James: Ke’Bryan Hayes – “It’s that time of the week again. When Patrick Corbin takes the mound again for the Nats. He’s had a heck of a time this season with the long ball, and the struggles continue. He has a 7.62 ERA over the last month, with 7 HR allowed in just 5 starts. That makes it 32 HR to RHBs this year, who have a .564 SLG and .388 wOBA in the split. Meanwhile, Hayes is heating up in September with a .360 average in 25 AB. In his career to date, he has a .372 wOBA and .179 ISO vs LHP with a .504 SLG. I like his HR potential here today against one of the easiest SPs to pick on in the HR department.”
Zach: Bryce Harper – “Harper is on a heater right now with home runs in five of his past seven games. During this time Harper has an average exit velocity of 96.4 miles per hour, an average launch angle of 11.1-degrees, and a 33.3% barrel rate. While Harper is bound to slow down at some point as all hitters do I don’t think it happens today as he faces Ryan Feltner. Feltner has pitched exactly 2.2 innings in the majors and those innings were about as bad as you can get. Feltner allowed six runs on two walks and five hits. Three of those five hits Feltner allowed left the park.”
Jared: Teoscar Hernandez – “It was a 22 run day over 14 innings for the Jays, as they swept their doubleheader in Baltimore. Heading into today, the book is not very deep on Zac Lowther, other than that he has a 6.66 SIERA through his first 14.1 major league innings this year. The lefty is in tough against the Jays and Teoscar in general, who has a 1.123 OPS, .373 ISO and 197 wRC+ vs LHP this season. As long as the Jays don’t wait until the 7th inning to wake up again (just like they did in the second half of the double header to go out and score 11 runs in that frame), Hernandez should do some serious damage.”
