DraftKings CS:GO Esports DFS Rundown (ESL) – September 05, 2021
Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) v.s. Gambit eSports (GY) (2:00 PM EST) (-203 GY)
The slate starts off strong with a game that determines the final spot to advance to the playoffs for NIP against the best team in the group. Unfortunately, GY has had their number in the past two matchups they played one being a sweep, and the other being 2-1. Device has only played for NIP in one of those matchups, but was completely shutdown and the least efficient slayer on his team. On the other hand, sh1ro dominated for GY in his main sniper role along with his teammate nafany in both matchups (at the top one and two in kills for their team). In addition, sh1ro has been the most clutch player for his team with (119 clutch rounds won by himself) and more than likely will cause havoc for NIP. Device is also the only player on his NIP squad with a kill-death differential above 1 which can result in NIP struggling even more to get efficient kills over time. Therefore, it will be really tough to see NIP get a win here, unless they somehow slow down/shut down sh1ro which won’t be easy at all after how consistent he’s been for his team this season so far.
Team Liquid (TL) v.s. FURIA eSports (FURIA) (2:00 PM EST) (-525 TL)
FURIA is also the other team fighting for the final spot to advance for playoffs in the group, since they’re tied with NIP for third. In other words, if FURIA can somehow pull off a win against arguably the second- best team in the group in TL, and NIP ends up losing they would advance. The problem, however is that TL defeated FURIA the two times they met this year in previous matches. EliGE and NAF were also the top slayers for TL in both matchups previously against FURIA, and fortunately, for TL they are currently the two highest damage dealers per round for TL (EliGE- 87.8, NAF- 81.4). KSCERATO was the only player to do the most of the killing for FURIA in gunfights, but as shown from previous matches he can’t be the only one or his team will more than likely be dominated. What’s also scarier for FURIA is that TL has been improving a lot since they last played them so this match may end up being even more difficult for FURIA to win. That being said if someone else on FURIA doesn’t step up to help KSCERATO this match may end quicker than expected.
Team.oNe (T1) vs. Entropiq (ENT) (2:00 PM EST) (-448 ENT)
The two bottom teams in the standings face off and neither really have a chance to make playoffs. T1 is still winless and face an ENT team with a 65.1% win-rate while T1 has a 33.3% win-rate. Therefore, the odds for T1 to get their first win will be really tough unless malbsMd bounces back from his rough game and receives a lot more help from his teammates. Maluk3 of T1 (.85) also finds himself in a tough sniping matchup against El1an of ENT with the highest K/D on his team (1.16). This would put even more pressure on malbsMd and the rest of his T1 squad to perform since their sniper/anchor may not be able to help them as much as they’d like. In addition, El1an has teammates that average more damage per round than him and the top dealer in that category is Krad (79.6) who can potentially be a problem for T1 because of that. In conclusion, T1 can still try their best although they won’t make the playoffs, but they can prepare for the next tournament they enter, and if they end up losing it may be time to reevaluate their team.
