WNBA DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for September 2, 2021 – FanDuel & DraftKings
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our WNBA Cheat Sheets for the 2 major contest providers FanDuel & DraftKings to help navigate today’s slate!
Napheesa Collier- DK: $10,600, FD: $7,600
I could write up about four or five players from the Lynx tonight as they are dealing with a lot of injuries. The Lynx will be without Damiris Dantas and Layshia Clarendon tonight and will also likely be without Sylvia Fowles as well. That is three normal starters and three players who average well over 20 minutes a game out of the lineup. My favorite of the Lynx players to target tonight is my overall favorite player on this slate Napheesa Collier. If Fowles is out as I expect Collier becomes the no doubt number one option on the Lynx and will play a lot of minutes. Just look at the Lynx last game with Fowles out. In that game, Collier played 38 minutes and had a 34.6% usage rate. Collier used the minutes and usage to dominate for 21 points and 14 rebounds on her way to 44 fantasy points. Collier is not only going to get the boost if Fowles is out but I love the match-up against the Sparks. The Sparks are the worst rebounding team in the WNBA and last time Collier faced them she went for 27 points and seven rebounds on her way to 41.75 fantasy points.
Arike Ogunbowale- DK: $10,400, FD: $7,400
I normally don’t have two expensive players in this article as it is easy to say play the expensive players. I also rarely feel that an expensive player is a core play as most of the time the expensive players are interchangeable and you should spread your exposures out between them. With that said there is so much value on this slate that it is easy to fit two or three of the really expensive players on this slate. While Napheesa Collier is my favorite player on this slate and favorite forward on this slate Arike Ogunbowale is my favorite guard on this slate. Ogwunbowale has been excellent since the Olympic Break. In her five games, she is averaging 20 points, four rebounds, 4.6 assists, and a steal. Ogwunbowale has at least 27 fantasy points in four of the five games and is averaging 31.7 fantasy points during this period. What really stands out for me when it comes to Ogunbowale tonight is her match-up as she gets to face the dream match-up of the Dream. The Dream has allowed the most points and assists per game this season.
Azura Stevens – DK: $7,500, FD: $5,000
I am going to be riding Azura Stevens in my lineups until she gives me a reason not to as Stevens is playing great. In her past three games, Stevens is averaging 12.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals+blocks. Stevens has at least 25 fantasy points in each of those games and has at least that level of production in four of her last six games. While the Aces are not the best match-up for Stevens I don’t see a reason why she doesn’t continue to produce at this level.
