CFL DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for Week 4 – DraftKings
Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our CFL Core Plays & Cheat Sheets for DraftKings to help navigate this week’s slate!
I didn’t have the worst week last week but didn’t have a great week either as none of my plays to compliment my stud QB really went off. That has been the theme of the start of the CFL season for me but I am confident that I am personally going to start to turn things around starting this week.
QB- Jake Maier $6,500
Maier might be the most obvious player I have ever written up in an article as a core play yet I have a feeling he is still going to go under-owned. The reason why I feel that Maier is an obvious play is due to the fact that DraftKings really dropped the ball with his pricing this week. Maier got the start for the Stampeders with Bo Levi Mitchell out last week and put up a solid day with 304 yards passing and a score on his way to 17.66 fantasy points. We should see Maier produce in the 16 to 17 fantasy point range again despite the so so match-up. At just $6,500 in salary, he really should be the only quarterback you roster this week in cash games and I personally would have 85% or more exposure to him in GPPs as he just opens up so much salary to use at the skill positions.
RB- William Stanback $9,200
With salary not really being an issue this week due to Jake Maier, I am going to be locking in loading Stanback at the running back position which is weaker than normal this week. Standback is one of the most consistent running backs in the CFL and this season he has rushed for at least 80 yards and produced 14.2 fantasy points in each game. Stanback is not only good and consistent but the match-up couldn’t be much better for him against Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats have been by far the worst run defense in the CFL to start the season. The Tiger-Cats rank dead last in yards allowed per game and yards allowed per rush attempt.
WR- Lucky Whitehead $7,100
Whitehead was the hot name last week and I was totally off of him due to his salary and match-up. That proved to be a smart move as Whitehead only produced 7.10 fantasy points after having back-to-back games with at least 20 fantasy points to start the season. This week I am back on Whitehead as his salary dropped over $2,000 and the match-up is a much better one. This week Whitehead gets to take on a Redblacks team that is allowing 327 yards per game through the air which is the most in the CFL. The Redblacks have also allowed 278 yards after the catch this season which is an area that Whitehead really excels at with 132 YAC yards already this season which is second-most in the CFL. I also have on good authority that Whitehead has stated that he is not going to let his fantasy owners down for a second-straight game this week.
