The WNBA Rundown – FanDuel & DraftKings WNBA DFS Picks – June 3, 2021 (6/3/21)
In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to always keep your eye on the news as the day progresses.
Skylar Diggins-Smith- Diana Taurasi is out once again for the Mercury and that makes Diggins-Smith one of your top overall players on this slate. In the previous three games with Taurasi out, Diggins-Smith has played at least 33 minutes and is averaging 20.3 points, four rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.7 steals+blocks. Diggins-Smith has at least 35 fantasy points in each of those three games and is averaging 38 fantasy points during this period. One of those three games was against the same Sky team that the Mercury play tonight and while the Sky are getting some key players back I don’t see why Diggins-Smith doesn’t have another big game against them.
Kia Nurse- Nurse is another player that has benefited from Taurasi’s absence. Nurse has played at least 28 minutes in each of the three games that Taurasi has missed and in the past two games she is averaging 19.5 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Nurse has at least 26 fantasy points in each of those games. The Sky as stated earlier were one of the match-ups the Mercury played recently and Nurse should find success again as the Sky have struggled to stop guards this season.
Kelsey Plum- Plum is returning to the Aces after helping Team USA qualify for the Olympics in 3×3 and I love her as a GPP play at her salary. The reason why I like her at her salary so much is the way she played in the qualifying tournament for the Olympics and the way she played in the first two games for the Aces before she left. In those two games, Plum played 26 minutes in each game and averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 assists, a steal, and 19.05 fantasy points.
Liz Cambage- I actually don’t know what to do at the forward position tonight as there are no clear-cut plays for me with several key players expected back for their respective teams. With that being said as of now the player I have the most exposure to at the position is Cambage. Cambage is one of the hottest if not the hottest player in the WNBA from a fantasy perspective. In her past two games, Cambage is averaging 20.5 points, ten rebounds, three assists, a steal, and four blocks. Cambage has at least 44 fantasy points in each of those two games.
Michaela Onyenwere- Don’t love this play at all as the rookie has been inconsistent but as I stated earlier forward is a weird position tonight. The weirdness is going to make me take some chances on some players and Onyenwere is most likely going to be the player I take the most chances on. The reason why is due to her dirt-cheap salary on both sites and the fact that she is coming off a huge game her last time out in which she had a career-high 29 points on her way to 40 fantasy points.
