The WNBA Rundown – FanDuel & DraftKings WNBA DFS Picks – May 28, 2021 (5/28/21)
In this article, we will be breaking down some of our favorite plays on the slate at their positions. Remember to always keep your eye on the news as the day progresses.
Diamond DeShields– If it seems like I write up DeShields every slate it is because I do but don’t blame me blame the sites. The Sites have refused to give DeShields the love she deserves as she is still priced fairly on each of the two sites. DeShields deserves to be priced higher especially with Allie Quigley out based on the way she has played this season with Quigley out. DeShields has at least 23 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 28.07 fantasy points in those games. The Sparks are also a team I love to stack against as they are the worst defensive team in the WNBA through the early going.
Chelsea Gray– Gray was not good in her first game for the Aces but has bounced back in a big way over her past four games. In those four games, Gray is averaging 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.8 assists, two steals, and a block. Gray has at least 26 fantasy points in each of those four games and is averaging 33.9 fantasy points during this period. Gray is not just producing at an elite level but the Fever are a great match-up for her as they give up a lot of assists and a lot of points per game ranking in the bottom half in both categories this season.
Astou Ndour – Candace Parker is going to miss her fourth straight game due to injury and that makes Ndour one of the best dollar-for-dollar plays on this slate. In the previous three games that Parker has missed, Ndour is averaging 15 points, nine rebounds, and 1.67 blocks. Adour has at least 27 fantasy points in each of those games. Ndour has not just played well with Parker out but the match-up against the Sparks doesn’t get any better for Ndour. This season the Sparks have allowed the most blocks per game, most rebounds per game, and most assists per game.
Breanna Stewart– The question on this slate is if you could only roster one elite player who should it be? For me the answer is easy. You should roster Stewart despite her being the most expensive player on this slate and likely the most popular play on this slate. The reason why you should roster Stewart is due to the fact she is the best woman’s player on the planet. This season in her five games Stewart is averaging 24 points per game which is second-most in the WNBA, 10.8 rebounds per game which is second-most in the WNBA, and two blocks per game which is fourth-most in the WNBA. Stewart has at least 40 fantasy points in four of her five games and is averaging 45.4 fantasy points per game which is the most on this slate. The Lynx are also a team that cannot stop Stewart and yes I realize that Stewart only had 24.4 fantasy points against them when they played earlier this season.
Brionna Jones – I don’t love Jones on DraftKings where she is priced up a bit but on FanDuel I don’t see how you don’t roster her. Jones at only $5,400 in salary on that site is a steal especially the way she has played the past two games. In those two games, Jones is averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. Jones has at least 33 fantasy points in each of those games.
