DraftKings Xfinity NASCAR DFS – Contender Boats 250 – February 27, 2021

Core Plays

Noah Gragson – DK: $11,300 – Starting 23rd and Tyler Reddick – $11,700 – Starting 38th

You get two top plays this week because truthfully I couldn’t pick just one or the other. Let’s start with Gragson, who has raced here at Homestead three times and has three top-five finishes, including 80 or more laps led in his last two races. Gragson ranks out as the second-best driver at this track in the field and the fact that he is going to start 23rd only amplifies his upside for differential – Gragson has never started this race higher than 13th. But not to be outdone here is Tyler Reddick, who has also ran this race three times at the Xfinity level and has two wins and a fourth-place finish. His last win came back in November of 2019, where he started on the pole and led 84 laps for the win. Reddick, who is returning to the Xfinity circuit this year, will start in the back – 38th to be exact for this race. Ultimately, Reddick offers the full package here – experience with his 2019 Xfinity Cup title, success at the track, and a starting position that can lead to a ton of fantasy points. Using both of these guys together may be optimal this week, based around positions to be gained and their Vegas odds as Reddick is a 2-1 favorite and Gragson comes in at 3-1.

Jesse Little – DK: $4,800 – Starting 14th

I will start out by saying I very much dislike the starting position here for Little, but in the Xfinity series, once you creep below the $7,000 range you are going to find a lot of red flags on drivers. Most importantly for me here, is we are going to want to find a driver who can finish the race for us. If Little is knocked out early, we will be looking at a tough scene, but Little has started the season with back-to-back completed races and he got a $1,000 price decrease since his last race. Little has run this track twice, starting 16th and finishing 18th and starting 18th and finishing 15th – more importantly, he finished both races. In order to get multiple higher-priced drivers into our lineups, we are going to need to punt one, and this price feels the lowest and safest.
