Week 11 NFL DFS Quarterbacks (QB) Targets For FanDuel & DraftKings

Welcome to the FC Insights Quarterback Targets Article. In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays at the QB position for each DFS week of the 2020-2021 NFL DFS season.

Top Plays

Ben Roethlisberger ($8,000 FD, $6,700 DK)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Passing Yards Allowed Per Game Opponent Total Passing Touchdowns Allowed Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to QBs
Jaguars 28.75 283.9 19 23.7

I was bearish on Big Ben for a while – but with his trio of WR’s fully healthy and the Steelers passing attack hitting all strides, there’s a lot to like here for Roethlisberger as he goes up against the Jags – who have among the league’s worst defensive units in all phases of the game.  I’m expecting the Steelers passing attack to pick up where they left off and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them rack up passing TD’s in bulk in this one in similar fashion to what they did against the Bengals (in tough elements with high wind).  Ben put up over 32 DKP this past week while throwing for 333 and 4 TD’s – and as long as their running game continues to struggle with efficiency, I expect them to ride the passing attack until they get things sorted out on the ground.  Ben is an excellent option for Week 11 line-ups.

Justin Herbert ($8,500 FD, $6,800 DK)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Passing Yards Allowed Per Game Opponent Total Passing Touchdowns Allowed Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to QBs
Jets 27.50 281.8 16 21.7

Herbert fell victim against a tough Miami defence in Week 10, yet he still managed to put up 21 DKP on the week, proving that he has an excellent floor, even if one of those TD’s was in garbage time right at the end of the game.  For most of the year we have seen opposing QB’s put up big numbers against the Jets, and I expect Herbert to have one of the best weeks at the QB position this week.  He’s expensive – but on a week where there aren’t a lot of certainties at the position – he may be the safest option on the board alongside Rotehlisberger, and he is definitely worth including in your player pool this week.

Value Plays

Jameis Winston ($7,200 FD, $5,900 DK)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Passing Yards Allowed Per Game Opponent Total Passing Touchdowns Allowed Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to QBs
Falcons 27.75 310.3 22 26.8

Winston should be under center this week with the injury to Brees – and going up against the dismal Falcons secondary – he is a fantastic value option to free up some salary.  We all know that Jameis isn’t afraid to sling it – and while he may be kept under a pretty tight leash, this match-up is too good to ignore (or at least to consider him strongly).  I expect him to get things rolling with WR Michael Thomas this week – and if you are looking for a near punt at QB – he is an excellent choice this week in a fantastic match-up.  I expect him to be one of – if not the highest owned QB on the board this week.

Joe Burrow ($5,500 DK)

Opponent Team Total Opponent Passing Yards Allowed Per Game Opponent Total Passing Touchdowns Allowed Opponent Fantasy Points Allowed Per Game to QBs
Washington 22.75 194.7 14 18.8

Burrow is priced up on FanDuel, checking in at $7,700 – which is a little too rich for my taste – but checking in on DraftKings at $5,500 – there is a lot to like here as a value play this week.  Washington has been tough against opposing passing games, however – assuming that the weather is better for Burrow this week, I find it hard to believe that he won’t be a great value option at his price on DraftKings.  Sure – Big Ben was able to put up a monster game in the same weather, but there’s no arguing the elements that he has played in each of the past two weeks, which led to disappointing results.  We see him priced down this week, and if you are looking for a pivot off of Winston, I think Burrow is an excellent choice this week.
