DraftKings & FanDuel NASCAR DFS – Season Finale 500 – November 8, 2020

Core Plays

Kyle Busch – DK: $9,600 | FD: $12,000 – Starting 8th

Over the last five years you will be hard up to find a better driver at this Phoenix track than Kyle Busch. In fact, this is one of the most dominate, single-driver, single-track, performances that I have seen in recent memory. Over Busch’s last ten races here, he has finished no worse than seventh. He has finished in the top three seven times and taken two checkered flags. Busch has led at least 69 laps in six of these last ten races and over 114 in four of them. Busch grades out as the best driver at this track by well over 15 points. It hasn’t been the season Busch and his team have wanted, but they have turned it around as of late with a win (finally) two weeks ago and three straight top-ten finishes. Busch will aim to end his season on a high note and has a car and track skill to lead laps and gain us some differential points.

Cole Custer – DK: $6,900 | FD: $8,500 – Starting 15th

Custer has been a consistent driver for us all year and even has come through with some flashy top ten finishes and even a victory earlier in the year. But we aren’t going to roster him for that, we are just going to take the consistency we can get for a cheap price and count it more as a free square than anything. Custer has an average finish of 12th over his last four races and has started around the same. Realistically, Custer has been a mid-pack driver and is finishing comfortably in that same range. With this being the last race of the year, I can see some over-aggressiveness come out of some drivers which may put the middle at risk, but I don’t think Custer is the guy to get overly aggressive unless he is forced to. Custer started 16th the last time he raced at Pheonix and finished 9th, on his way to 46.50 fantasy points. The previous time he raced at Phoenix was at the Xfinity level when he finished 2nd. If Custer finishes this race, it will be near the top ten.
