2020 Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship: DraftKings PGA DFS Daily Cheat Sheet

DraftKings PGA DFS GPP Cheat Sheet for the 2020 Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.  Featuring top plays, high ceiling candidates, contrarian, and value picks to target for this week’s DraftKings and FanDuel PGA DFS main slate.

We have grouped players into 3 key tiers based on price point.

You can also access a player’s “FC Player Card” by clicking their name or salary. This will bring up key news, stats and match-up data to help guide you along the way for their game that day.

Our cheat sheets highlight the core plays (including some contrarian candidates) that we like the most on the slate and, as a result, would recommend a higher level of exposure to on the whole. It is not an exhaustive list, and if you are a multi-entry GPP player, you may decide to ultimately have a larger player pool to work from. Our hope is that this gives you a tight group of players to heavy-up your exposure to.

The week after the US Open, we have a week of action where most of the key players are sitting out this weekend’s event down in Punta Cana.  There is a lot of interesting golfers teeing it up this weekend and for me, I am looking for recent form as a primary factor in terms of building line-ups for this weekend’s event.  I’ve included write-ups on a few of my favourite options for this weekend’s event below, and have expanded the list beyond them with some more options that I like for this weekend’s event!

Mackenzie Hughes, $10,300 – The price is pretty absurd in absolute terms – but given the low quality field, you get a chance to roster a golfer that has been playing extremely well (outside of last week’s US Open) who made the FedEx TOUR Championship and has the ability to outclass most of the field here if he plays to the top of his game.  An elite player around the green – I like his chances of being near the top of the leaderboard this weekend.

Denny McCarthy, $9,600 – McCarthy is arguably the best putter on tour, something that I think will help him a great deal this weekend.  Much as is the case with Hughes, we are used to seeing him priced $7,000-$7,500 – and I just think he is a better golfer than many of the options teeing it up this weekend.  He should be a safe bet…or at least as safe of a bet as they come to be in the mix at this weekend’s event.

Will Gordon, $7,600 – There are some issues with his game other than his ability to pound it off of the tee – but in this event, if he can play decent in terms of his approach game and on the green, his ability to play elite off of the tee could put him in a great spot.  He should score well this weekend at a track that isn’t too tough, and at this price point, I think he has as much upside as anyone in the field and I think the floor with him is solid – he made the last three cuts for tournaments he has played in on tour.
