Welcome to the WNBA Rundown for FanDuel and DraftKings contests on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
The WNBA was originally slated to end its season yesterday but due to the two days of canceled games, we get one final slate today and thus one more day of WNBA content. I hope your season was as profitable as mine was and hope to see you back next season.
Guards to Target
Tyasha Harris ($5,900 DK/$4,800 FD)- Allisha Gray is going to miss her second straight game for the Wings and that makes Harris one of the top value plays on this slate. In the Wings’ last game with Gray out, Harris started and played 31 minutes. In those minutes she had an 8/2/2 stat line with a block on her way to 16.4 fantasy points. That was the second straight game where Harris has hit that mark. Harris should make it three straight games against the bad Liberty defense with that amount of production which I know doesn’t seem like a lot of fantasy points but it would easily pay off Harris’ salary.
Ariel Atkins ($8,200 DK/$5,700 FD)- Atkins has played at least 32 minutes in five of the Mystics past six games including in four straight games. Atkins is not just playing big minutes but she is playing well. In those past four games, Atkins is averaging 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.8 steals. Atkins has at least 23 fantasy points in each of her past five games. With the Mystics needing a win to sneak into the playoffs and with an elite match-up against a Dream team that allows the second-most points per game this season I just don’t see Atkins slowing down in this one.
Forwards to Target
Myisha Hines-Allen ($10,900 DK/$7,500 FD)- Hines-Allen is my top player on this slate as she is playing fantastic basketball. In her past four games, Hines-Allen is averaging 25.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and two steals. Hines-Allen has at least 39 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 48.3 fantasy points during this stretch. The Dream is also a great match-up as not only do they allow the second-most points per game as I talked about earlier but they also rank in the bottom four in rebounds allowed per game, assists allowed per game, and steals allowed per game.
Ezi Magbegor ($6,100 DK/$4,400 FD)- The Storm technically has something to play for today as they need to beat the Aces to lock up the number one seed. With that being said I don’t think the number one seed is as important to the Storm as making sure Breanna Stewart is fully healthy for the playoffs and for that reason I think she sits again. If she does sit I love Magbegor as a value play. Magbegor should play close to 20 minutes as she did last game and is likely to produce in the 20 fantasy point range as she did last game as Magbegor is averaging a fantasy point per minute this season.
