Welcome to the NBA Rundown for FanDuel and DraftKings contests on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,500 FD/$11,400 DK)– The Greek Freak had a bad game one for his standards as despite him almost triple-doubling he only produced 43.5 fantasy points. While it is possible that the Heat which really are a bad match-up for the Bucks slows Mr. ABC down for a second-straight game I just don’t see it happening. Giannis is too good of a player to be held down and he has a history of putting up huge fantasy points against the Heat. Not counting game one of this series, Giannis has at least 50 fantasy points in four of the last five regular season match-ups against the Heat including two 69 plus fantasy point outings.
Robert Covington ($6,300 FD/$5,900 DK)– I normally like to get off of players on hot streaks a day early rather than a day late but I am going to be riding the hot streak Covington is on tonight as there really are not many other options at his price point. In his past two games, Covington is averaging 20 points, six rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, and four steals. Covington has at least 42 fantasy points in each of those two games.
Steven Adams ($5,500 FD, $5,700 DK)– This should seem pretty obvious as there is not a center over $6,000 in salary on FanDuel tonight and only one over that amount on DK tonight but you are going to want to spend down at the position to be able to afford some of the high priced guys at other positions. The question then becomes which of the centers should you spend down to. On FanDuel I am going to be rotating out Brook Lopez, P.J. Tucker, and Steven Adams throughout my lineups with Adams being my favorite of the group. Adams gets the nod for me as he is a little more consistent than the others as he does have at least 20 fantasy points in each game of this series.
Today’s Cheat Sheets show anyone that I currently have over 35% exposure to on this slate.
