Looking for a quick consolidated list of options to play today? Let’s take a look at our DraftKings and FanDuel Cheat Sheets to help navigate today’s slate!
Tonight has three games for NHL playoff action, starting at 6pm as Dallas and Colorado get ready for the fourth game of their series. After that, we have the Isles and Flyers playing on the second half of a back to back before the day’s action is rounded out by Vegas and the Canucks also playing on a back to back – with all three of the games sitting at 2-1 in the series.
Dallas and Colorado has been a high scoring series and so it shouldn’t be surprising to see the game check in with a projected total of six goals tonight. The top line and top PP unit for each team will be popular stacking options – but I recommend getting a little bit of exposure to DAL2 and COL3 when it comes to your builds as well as value options. Both teams have excellent options on the back-end in terms of having great priced up options and some value options that are punts with upside. Khudobin is my preference between the pipes when compared to Francouz, who has been pretty dismal so far in his two starts.
The Isles are up 2-1 over Philly – and we are in a similar scenario today to what we were in after game 1 when Philly came out and lit up Varlamov early en route to their game 2 victory. PHI1 continues to underwhelm, and they may be the lowest owned top line tonight of the six game slate. I’ll be tempted to leave them off of my builds altogether – though the upside is there if you go over-weight and they return somewhat close to their usual form. For the Isles, you can sprinkle in significant exposure to both NYI2 and NYI1, with my preference for them being in that order. Keep an eye on the starting goalie announcement here as there is a chance both back-up goalies could get the call here.
Finally, Vegas shut-out Vancouver 3-0 last night to take a 2-1 series lead – and the two teams get set for another game tonight. Lehner was fantastic for the Golden Knights in this one, turning aside 31 shots for the shut-out and assuming he gets the start, is a strong play yet again today – though I wouldn’t be shocked if Vegas went with Fleury, so keep an eye out here. Markstrom may have the highest ceiling out of all the goalie options and if he can work his magic like he has at times this playoff run, the payoff could be great. I’m expecting Vancouver’s ownership levels to take a hit in this one coming into it off of being shut-out for the second time in three games – and even though VGK2 was silent last night, I think that VGK1, VGK2 and VGKPP1 will be among the most popular stacking options for the slate tonight, along with Edler (Van) and Theodore on the back-end.
Good luck in your contests tonight & I hope you enjoy today’s NHL Playoff action!
