Welcome to the Daily Rundown for DraftKings KBO DFS contests on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
After two straight days of no games being postponed, there is a great chance that we see some postponements on this slate as Mother Nature seems to hate the KBO. As always I am going to write this article as if all games play but make sure you check before rostering any players.
Pitchers to Target
- Eric Jokisch ($9,600) – Jokisch has had three straight bad starts but I am giving him a pass on those starts as he faced the Dinos and the Bears twice. Those are two elite hitting teams while the match-up against the Lions is not. The Lions rank in the bottom half of the KBO in runs scored per game, hits per game, and home runs per game. Jokisch has also pitched really well against the Lions this season with at least 20 fantasy points in two of his three starts.
- Min Soo Kim ($5,100) – I know Kim has not been great this season but at just $5,100 in salary, I am going to have plenty of exposure to him as he has great odds with a 60.4% projected win percentage and a great match-up against the Wyverns. The Wyverns are right up there with the Eagles as worst hitting teams in the KBO as they are just above the Eagles in runs scored per game and hits per game.
Stack to Target
The Heroes went for 22 runs on Saturday and call me crazy but I think they can put up similar runs in this one. Well, maybe the Heroes are not going to score twenty runs again but they should score double-digit runs as they take on the Lions and Seong Hwan Yoon. Yoon has started one game this season and in that game, he allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks in just two innings of action. Yoon not only sucks but the Lions bullpen has really been struggling as of late with an ERA of 6.25 over their past ten games.
