DraftKings & FanDuel NASCAR DFS – Alsco Uniforms 500 – May 27, 2020 (5/27/20)
Martin Truex Jr – DK: $9,400 | FD: $14,000 – Starting 15th
Truex was a core play on Sunday when he started eighth, so there is no real reason to fade him when he is starting 15th and is $1,200 cheaper in price. Now, the price here on FanDuel is the most expensive so there is going to be an argument for a fade there, but the pricing on DraftKings is the main ones I am going to focus on for this article. Truex had 56 of the fastest laps and led 87 of them as well en route to 88 fantasy points. The historical success of Truex at Charolette is hard to ignore as he has finished in the top ten here in eight of his last nine races.
Alex Bowman – DK: $8,700 | FD: $12,200 – Starting 2nd
Bowman led 164 laps on Sunday though he ended up finishing the race in 20th after a wild finish. Bowman displayed one of the strongest, if not the strongest car on the track and after leading 164 laps and being the fastest for 52 of them, there is no reason to believe the can’t be an early dominator of this race starting second. William Byron will start on the pole, though I can see Bowman taking the lead from him in this one quite early. We even get a $700 price drop on DraftKings from his Sunday price. I expect both of these plays to be chalky, but they are an absolute smash core on paper in cash and may still even trend towards optimal in tournaments.
