DraftKings Xfinity NASCAR DFS – Alsco 300 – May 25, 2020 (5/25/20)
Kyle Busch – $17,000
I am not going to write a paragraph on Busch every week. The truth is he will always be chalk when he runs these races. Even at his steep price last week he got us almost 100 fantasy points. Not only is Busch a -140 favorite to win this race, but he is also starting 18th which will get us plenty of place differential.
Noah Gragson – $9,500
We didn’t target Gragson last week due to him starting on the pole but we get a healthier starting position this week at 10th. Gragson has finished inside the top ten four times in five races this year and finished fourth in this race last year (while also starting 10th). Gragson has returned fastest laps in all races this year and has led laps in all races except one. $9,500 is not that expensive compared to his other prices on the year as he has touched $10,000 once before.
Timmy Hill – $5,100
If you are targeting Busch we are going to need someone cheap to offset the price and for that I am looking at Timmy Hill. Hill started 28th and finished 22nd last week at Darlington, including one fastest lap. Historically, there might be some risk here, as this track hasn’t been kind to Hill, but we have to consider that he is running a way better car now. Hill had virtually no sponsors prior to the NASCAR stoppage, but his great runs in iRacing actually brought in some money (that is a weird sentence to type). So with more money coming in and a better showing last week, things may be turning around for Hill as he will continue to try and carry his momentum. Though I label this a core play, I wouldn’t hit the lock button on him, but I will be pairing him with Busch frequently to possibly get some more mid-tier racers.
