DraftKings Xfinity NASCAR DFS – Toyota 200 – May 19, 2020 (5/19/20)
Kyle Busch – $16,000
This feels like a bit of a cop-out, but I really don’t know how you fade Kyle Busch besides his ridiculous price tag. Busch has nearly everything you want for a dominator in a race. The fastest car, the best team, a 26th starting position, top pit spot, and has the benefit of running a race just two days ago. I will have a hard time not locking Busch today, but obviously the price tag creates some issues. There are some guys link Cassill, Finchum, and Alfredo that I like who help off-set his price enough. It is a bit stark to say that one driver should sway this entire slate, but the truth is you will either fall on the right side of Kyle Busch or the wrong side of Kyle Busch today.
Daniel Hemric – DK: $9,100
We get a driver in Hemric whose box score looks poor due to a few bad races earlier in the season, yet has a good amount of career success at the Xfinity level. Hemric last ran a full schedule back in 2018 where he had 23 top-ten finishes and finished third overall in points. Kyle Busch is the most attractive option on this slate, but with that $16,000 price-point, we are going to have a hard time working him in. If you are searching for place differential, I think Hemric is one of the better options today as he will be starting 23rd. I think the price tag here is just too low for the quality of driver you are getting and the casual box score lurkers may push some lower ownership on him.
