Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for FantasyDraft.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for FantasyDraft for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
With the two rookies, Kevin Porter Jr. and Darius Garland out the past two games the vet Dellavedova has gotten a chance to start and play big minutes for the Cavs. In those two games, Delly played at least 31 minutes and is averaging 10.5 points, 12.5 assists, four rebounds, and a steal. Delly has at least 35 fantasy points in each of those games. While I doubt we see Dellavedova put up 35 plus fantasy points with both of those players out once again tonight I am expecting him to produce over 20 fantasy points against a Bulls team that ranks 25th in defensive efficiency to point guards and that level of production would be more than enough to pay off his dirt-cheap salary.
Drummond returned from injury in the Cavs last game against the Spurs and had a huge game with 28 points and 17 rebounds on his way to 57.75 fantasy points. That game was the second straight game that Drummond had a double-double with at least 25 points scored while producing over 55 fantasy points after a ton of bad games since his trade to the Cavs. While I might be crazy tonight I think that Drummond easily makes it three straight games with that level of production for two reasons. The first is the fact that Tristan Thompson has been ruled out for tonight’s contest. Thompson being out or playing very limited minutes was what allowed Drummond to really go off in those two games as he did not have to split time with Thompson. The second reason is the match-up against the Bulls. The Bulls have the second-worst team rebounding rate and are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to centers this season. Drummond also loved playing them back in his time with the Pistons with six games over 50 fantasy points against them over the past three seasons.
Porzingis stunk up the joint on Sunday against the Pacers after spraining his ankle but had been putting up some huge numbers. In his previous eight games, Porzingis averaged 27.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 4.1 steals+blocks. Porzingis had at least 49 fantasy points in seven of those games with over 60 fantasy points in each of the three games prior. That is the level of production I expect we see from Porzingis tonight as one of those eight games was against the same Spurs team he plays tonight. Porzingis would also get a huge boost if Luka Doncic who has been banged up the past couple of games sits as this season Porzingis has seen a 3.5% increase in usage to 30.3% and is averaging 0.21 more fantasy points per minute with Doncic off the court.
