Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for FantasyDraft.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for FantasyDraft for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
I understand if you don’t want to play DeRozan at this salary against the Jazz but with LaMarcus Aldridge out tonight I am all over DeRozan. This season with Aldridge off the court, DeRozan has seen an increase in usage of 5.7% to 33.0% and is averaging 1.25 fantasy points per minute. If we look at just the three games that DeRozan has played that Aldridge has missed completely this season we will see DeRozan is averaging 26.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 41.58 fantasy points. That is elite production from some DeRozan’s salary. We also saw on Monday with Eric Gordon that match-up shouldn’t matter when a player is expected to have a huge increase in usage due to injury.
Sabonis is my top-ranked player tonight as he has played great basketball all season long especially this month. In his 12 games this month, Sabonis is averaging 19.5 points, 11.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.3 steals+blocks. Sabonis has at least 45 fantasy in nine of those 12 games. Sabonis is not just putting up huge numbers but the match-up against the Bulls is also one of if not the best in the NBA for power forwards. This season the Bulls are allowing the most fantasy points per game to the position while having the second-worst team rebounding rate. Sabonis would also get a huge boost if Myles Turner who is currently listed as questionable is ruled out for tonight’s contest.
While the DFS world continues to avoid Tucker due to his bad games to start 2020 I am going to continue to profit by rostering him at his dirt-cheap salary as Tucker has put up four straight strong games. Tucker has at least 20 fantasy points in each of those four games and is averaging six points, 7.5 rebounds, four assists, and 2.8 steals in those games. Tucker is not just playing well right now but the Trail Blazers are also a great match-up for him as this season they are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to power forwards.
