In this article, we are going to go position by position breaking down the top plays and values for you. We will be using FanDuel’s pricing and positions due to the multiple position eligibility for most players on DraftKings.
With no Porzingis, Doncic has been playing upper 30’s in minutes averaging 1.96 FPPM which is just insane. The match-up is better than you think with no Embiid to protect the rim. Doncic had one of his worst games of the season against the Lakers and look for him to rebound today.
Others to consider: Eric Bledsoe, Lonzo Ball
White went through a horrible slump in the month of December erasing himself from the minds of players everywhere but his teammates always said he’d rebound and in the last 3 games the shooting (and now the minutes) have returned. He has a nice match-up against the Pistons and he has a ceiling if he gets hot. Nice pivot or double-punt PG option with Rondo
Other Options: Rajon Rondo
Any time I can get an under priced shooter against the Bucks I’m going to do it and thats what we got here with McCollum. Portland had a horrible road trip and now returns home for a game they need to steal against the Bucks. The Bucks give up the most 3 point attempts in the league giving upside to any shooter. Hopefully McCollum can get hot here.
Others to consider: Josh Hart, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
With Lebron missing the 2nd half of the back-to-back with an “illness”, Giannis becomes the top SF by default. He has a great match-up against Portland who has no wing size players to defend him. Giannis is a 1.84 FPPM player and a total beast so he can be a GPP winning option even if he only has to play 3 quarters.
Others To Consider: Will Barton, Jaylen Brown
Really good match-up here for Love against Paul Millsap who really doesn’t love to defend out to the 3-point line. This is one of the reasons that Denver concedes the 4th most points in the league to opposing PF’s. Love is too talented to be in the low 7k price range and is in a great spot to break the slate.
Others To Consider: Jayson Tatum, Sekou Doumbouya
I could give you a lot of stats on Jokic but we saw against Atlanta what his ceiling is against teams that don’t have rim protection. Jokic is a 1.37 FPPM player on the season and expect him to be closer to 1.50 FPPM. If I could only pay up for one stud today it would be Jokic (but he makes a great pairing with Love).
Others to Consider: Andre Drummond, Brook Lopez
